I'd ignore the sticky its pretty old, queue times are anywhere between 5-15mins depending on what time you play.
 
que times are fast. cant estimate win ratio b/c horde will win if you get in a game where horde has a premade vs alliance none and vicea versa. alliance > horde for premades.

times are instant to 1 hr. depends on time of day, etc.



also: thought you were eu at first from the shitty OP, so work on that.
 
I lvled my 80 dk, it was 5-1 hour for a 2's queue and 15 min-2 hours for BG queues, and I tried this each day for 2 weeks, same results.
 
I can vouch for the European Horde queue times, they can be from 6 minutes up to 30, it really depends and for the win - loss ration in the past 10 days i have been in pretty much 90 % of battlegrounds done during the day, and won 95 % of them, being said that i have spent about 18 hours a day playing, i would guess that horde is at the moment a lot better.

thanks so far everyone, it seems like 84s have so much more health than 80s. How is it even possible for 80s to be competitive? I'm guessing it has something to do with stat scaling? And I was looking at the chardevs in the stickie. How does a wotlk account get the cata gear?
 
u should know that all 84s are bad, so if u are a normal/good player, u can easily beat them.. ofc only if u have good gear..

activate the 10days trial version of cataclysm and go 24/7 dungeons till u have anything u need

pvp gear takes more time than at 70 obviously, but if you pvp a lot its not too bad. another smart idea is to run your daily dungeons every single day the max amount cuz you get 140JP per cata random, and you can convert JP to honor as well as picking up that sweet cata gear



ret pal is really fun and you can play little to no resil if youre comfortable with it, or have a healbot. with mastery stacking you can get some pretty sick numbers, but it requires ramp up (i.e 3 HP and a crit TV, or wings) unlike arcane mage. boomkin can be good, they have a lot of burst potential, you just have to be a good player imo

I'd say 84 twinks vs 80 twinks the 84 would prob win with the same gear lvl

My 80 dk hits for 22k+ Howling Blast with DBW proc, and I can do 10 of these within 10 seconds.

When I hit 84, I will have almost 2x the amount of Str/Ap I will have

Queues go from 6-15/20 min in EU(That is for both alli an horde) and around the same for US, faster if a guild is queuing.

IF a guild is doing premades and you're on the opposite team, you're pretty much screwed, since like 75% of the people in the bracket (EU) are completely retards, who dont understand shit about the mechanics in a Bg.



I think bg's are completely shit, because it all comes down to the number of retards and mages/84's your team gets. and if another team is premading with just 3 people you're absolutely screwed..

I dont recommend bg's.
