Healing Class

So, joining the f2p bracket with some friends rolling a healer. Shamans viable unlike the 19s? See that they gain healing surge, and if they are, could I go ally and get a good amount of gear?

EDIT: If I can't go shaman alliance (at 19 shaman gear is all horde) what would be agood healing class for alliance?

Alliance queues are 20mins. Horde aare >5 to instant. Horde caster gear > alliance. Horde players > alliance.

Hpaly Shaman Priest, are all good healers and can survive without much skill.....druids on the other hand take a ass raping in this bracket. They just cant heal though the burst that the other 3 can. though you could always go balance druid and heal in balance if that floats your boat

Checkit out kinetic.

Shaman isnt bad here in the 20 bracket, but its not the best, IMO Hpal>shaman=priest>rdruid

With what everyone is saying about the queues, the alliance ones are hardly ever over 10 minutes these days, horde is near instant to about 5 min.

IF you are rolling on AP, i would almost reccomend anything but human, because of the fact that it is damn-near impossible to get AGM on AP.

alll that being said, all the gear for healers, besides a few pieces here and there are horde-only. Even cloth gear is better for horde than alliance. Alliance has a great shield, an eyepatch, a staff that is only usefull to some warriors that us it as BiS, and a ring... horde has so much more than that its not even funny, everyone just complains that eyepatch is the reason of the faction imbalance (which actually has slowly been balancing itself out.) I would love to see a good priest here on AP, we dont get too many and most of them are too lazy to gear BiS!!

Hope this all helped!

not to turn this into another faction gear thread, but i hear this repeated over and over, without a single example given

what are people talking about when the mean "[...]Even cloth gear is better for horde than alliance"

i cant really think of a single cloth item which is BiS and faction only, on my Warlock the only faction piece i'm using is the 2/2/2 Wand and thats because my BiS item is a rare drop from WC

He means caster gear, ie crit leather <3

boomkin healing > all.

I might make an Hpally on Aerie Peak Alliance Side.

ME AND TRILIUM HAVE JOINED THE AP ALLIANCE MOVEMENT

EDIT: Trilium and I' for gramatical correctness

lol yeah all that ap ally has atm are the old good players and a bunch of random pallys XD

Priests are not a survivable class in this bracket. They're probably the easiest healer to shut down because their only defensive cooldown breaks on damage and can be trinketed. All they can do when they're being focused is PW:S every 15 seconds and a rogue or hunter can pop that shield in a couple globals and interrupt whatever else they try to do.
