  • Well to be honest we all know hunters are the most dominant pvp class and pve class along with rogues... Now I like to be different. I do not like to do pvp as much at level one against other level ones as it is usaly unbalanced between classes. What I want is a class that is good for pve but is different, I.G. Priest/Warrior, you know something crazy!!! But the problem I would actualy like to be good at dueling say level 10's and can hit elietes in pve. I am not too bothered about getting big hits in pve but I would like to hit more often. Any idea's people? I want a class that is uncommon, something people will think wow what are you doing? The best enchants for things you know. Or maby a different type of the weird class I will role like you can get Hp buff paladins and Strength palas, or that you get, agility hunters and haste hunters.

So to sum up what I want is a level one that is different and not used often at all but is still good at pve and not bad at pvp. Any contribution would be great! thanks

If it's one thing I regret it's deleting my old warrior. It was actually more fun than my rogue. I guess I wanted more dodge though.. Paladin is the new warrior now. Ulfbjørn in our guild claims he beats one of our best rogues. Hopefully he'll make a PvP video for us to upload to youtube later

    . Go pala, go!

Lol I think he just lost out to dawn doing pvp a sec ago

Can warriors still be any good though?

Greetings. I'd say it is best to either go Paladin, the third most OP class IMO, but not ridiculously common, or a Warlock. I find Warlocks are just about as good as mages, and are less common than mages. BUT it requires a lot of skill to be a caster, since you continuously have to stop and cast, as we get no stuns at level 1, I believe. And it also seems a Shaman can be incredibly powerful too!

Here is a Paladin in what I believe is BiS. http://chardev.org/?profile=284591

When Crusader pops, I like to Equipment change to my 20 haste axe. =D

Here is a shaman in what I believe is BiS. Don't trust me in this, I may be wrong. http://chardev.org/?profile=284592

And here is a warlock is BiS http://chardev.org/?profile=284593

Also, for the Shaman and Warlock, once you lose 320 Mana (22 Intellect) switch over to a weapon with 30 Spell power. For a Shaman, get another onehanded mace loom with 30 Spell power using the equipment manager.

Some people prefer to use a twohanded axe with 20 haste on it for a shaman, that is viable too for a glass cannon, but for survivability, it is best for my chardev, but both are equally good. =D

Also, don't rage at me twink pros, I only own a level 1 rogue and a level 1 pally. :< Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I obviously just made my chardevs from common assumptions and facts I heard from friends.

    I've always liked lvl1 priests

Smite hits for the same as a locks shadowbolt, but the lock has the imps firebolt to make it about the same dmg as a mages fireball, roughly twice the damage of Smite. However, shadow and fire damage can be resisted whereas the Priests holy damage can not. In a long term PvE fight it might come out on top or at least on par with Lock/Mage. In a PvP fight, the locks imp normally gets killed in 2 sec, so the priest would be on top of the Lock dmg because of the resist factor.

The only problem is their mana efficiency. Mages use 9% of base for Fireball, Locks use 10% of base for Shadowbolt, and Priests use 15% of base for Smite

    Are you on Dunemaul

? Btw, if you end up with a paladin, I loved 2handing. Using 1h and a shield is like playing a rogue, just super boring imo.

Yeah I was co-gm last year for a bit then I quit for like 6 months and came back after cata

Balth, I know a level 1 twinked mage could 1shot a imp with a 1.2-1.3 second cast, and their fireball is a slightly faster cast time. it also does slightly more base.

    Talking about pve.

I dont think in pve you can kill your partys imp.

    xD

So i've done for a priest as it is different thanks for the help guys

But we are doing a arena season within level one twinks so this is when all of your great knowledge comes out!!

I need lots of help with i.e. gear fight styles etc etc... once again all comments welcome.

BUFFS! the more the better (i.e. Halaani Whiskey instead of Rumsey's, boglund...er...bogling root, charged crystal focus, raptor punch, etc...) don't skimp, spend the money/time to get them and you'll be rewarded

But on a serious note: I thought Raptor Punch didn't work at lvl 1, even though it has no superficial level requirement.

raptor punch works awesome at lvl 1 ... you might be thinking of Senggin Root

Warlock > mage indeed but it takes a long time to gear 1 as 20Shadow Power to gloves is pretty rare.. with that & 22 int & pouch & 4stats & 7int & 5hit & 5resist & BoAs.. ur gonna do about 80-100 on every shadow bolt.. + u have an imp which is AN ADVANTAGE ! any smart warlock would set the imp to "stay" against melees because if it doesnt get killed, most melees will die vs the lock. the trick is to have double fiery wep or something vs the imp then change to whatever u wanna change to
