DMF is live and works for F2P

Thanks for the info.

Odd question perhaps, it just struck me: is the Isle a Sanctuary or a PvP-enabled zone?

EDIT: 4 hrs sleep

sooo when exactly is DMF *actually* starting on US realms?

Yes, it's a sanctuary in the DMF itself. If you move a little along the coast to fish from a wreckage... I got smashed by a rogue just as I was about to loot. Fish from the safe areas if you're going for the pet.

Yes, take a port from Goldshire.

Though little data so far (3 pools), it seems the wreckage pools are rather small (2x 1 Soulbound chest, 1 x 2 Soulbound chest) and contain lvl 85 stuff (Embersilk Cloth in every chest, 1 x Heavy Savage Leather, all times varied foodstuffs) that would have been great if XP_Lock was still available. The chests can also contain Darkmoon Firewater, scaling AP buff & growth (1 chest, 2 firewater).

Annoying tidbit: several games are of the 'you must be this tall or higher' variant, as Gnome you might have aiming problems when it's crowded/bigbutted toons are around.

Yay! Can't wait for mounts and heirlooms. Transmorg and DMF are the kind of things that keep my attention in this game.

Seven are soloable, and there's another two achievements involving the pit fighter trinkets, which I can't imagine being easy on any server to begin with.

Yo Kale can you post a guide for us to making the most out of our time there? What quests to pick up and do on every day, which ones are weekly, etc. It's gonna be madness tomorrow, a heads-up of exactly what needs to be done would be nice
<

There's five daily quests that are quick carny games. There's the profession quests which require 75+ skill and aren't repeatable, although may be next month, similar to the weekly WG quests. There's also the 250 kill quest, which again isn't repeatable. There's also the loot bodies in BG drops, which again, can only be done once per drop, there's three of those. There's also dungeon drops, but my lack of dungeon experience means nothing has dropped for me.

Edit: The achievements are pretty self explanatory. There's also a fishing pet to get, which I managed to get, and wreckages with 14AP battle elixirs.

Ugh, I went straight for the pet as soon as the faire started (right to the coast xD) spent almost two hours fishing but it was all worth it >D I love my Sea Pony, I don't care if Blizzard starts just handing 'em out, it'll always be one of my favorites <3

Good news, the Death Match mechanics seem to be the same as the Guru ie you CAN loot the chest while others are busy killing eachother (bad news: someone finally noticed when I was 90% done)

Hehe, damn. That would definitely be something to see, a 20 with the achievement. I'm sure someone, somwhere, sooner or later, will get it. Once you've done all the achievements, there's basically two mounts, six pets, or seven including the one you fish up, and a few novelty items. Eventually people will lose interest, but the island is always packed when I go there, so that is probably going to take a while.

It's already puttering out on the RP realms I currently play on, though it was packed during the weekend so it's probably just relative.

There is a Forsaken witch in the woods with a stall selling a bunch of new foods (suggestedly processed from PC races) that don't have any level requirements, as well as last week's mutton (white mace, req. lvl 29, 1 Prize ticket) and Last Years Mutton (bigger one-hand mace, lvl 50, 1 ticket).

When you /cheer a Tauren Chieftain while they play, you gain a 5-minute buff 'Pumped up!' that gives +10% on all stats. So there is a reason to cheer them now, I guess.

There's always 20+ people in the arena when I go. I can't imagine having any chance at the chest any time soon. I'm sure eventually the novelty will wear off, but I don't see that happening any time soon. There's also still people getting various achievements, so are obviously new to it. I'm sure the first week it's out will always have the most people. I'm sure after a few months when people lose interest it will be the same as the old faire, and some of us may even have a shot at the trinket. Not that we can use it, just for the achievement.
