Prot warrior Help

Coming back into the 19 twink game after almost a year, and figured what better way to come back than with a new twink.

I decided to roll a prot warrior, but I have never really played a prot warrior at 19, ever, and since I haven't played 19s since pre-cata, I figured the game has changed enough that what I remember about others' prot warriors is probs past its expiration date.

So I beseech you TI,

Is there anyone who could offer some tips about the basics of Prot warriors. I know they are pretty good FCs, but are they viable for offense (shield slam hits hard and the dispell is nice)? Any type of tips about certain spells (when to use or not use) or anything to be extra conscious of? Once I learn some of the ropes I can fine tune my own personal play style.

And lastly, any tips about gearing? I have a decent idea of what I need, armory has been a good resource, but I'll take any tips/suggestions/opinions. I'm alliance right now, may possible think about faction change, but it all depends on how into it I get, and if I can get some old friends to join me.

Thanks,

~Fritto

honestly, if you dont have the grandfathered gear its not worth rollin a prot war

and they got no offense at all ha.

yeah :-/, but best of luck if you decide to roll one. eating damage for days is fun ha.

fury is always fun. youre a glass cannon, but ya dish das deeps

gotta be very geared for prot. its difficult in the fact that u do no dmg and it takes time to get used to FCing, making decisions, learning terrain etc. fury is fun, like daz said you'll die very quick but u do dmg. id start fury if i were in ur place
<

hithere dont u have no horde GF gear? and still are one of the best FCers out there <3

anyway daz has a point but not 100% true, GF gear is pretty important for warrior FCing but you can do a good job without it,

make sure u have a pocket healer with you at all times or there is no point in Qing tho

honestly fury is the best spec to solo Q

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/korgath/cinderblok/advanced - this person has 0 GF gear and is amazing as prot both in Fcing and dps <3

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/bleeding-hollow/%C3%81deus/simple - my armory with 100% GF gear just so see what you cant get
<

i enjoy my prot warrior, its definetly a viable alternative, if you know the kiting routes, the clap + bleed is great for multiple rogues that tries to restealth. prot has alot of potential, is what i'm gettin' at, just dont.. dont queue solo, you'll get hit by that little thing called 'absolutely no gap closers'..
