the very top comment on that video is from me lol. i got out at lvl 1 with my hearth on cooldown instead of deleting it, so i still had one that went back to gilneas. i leveled to 10 in elwynn forest, turned off my xp, and hearthed back there. i was able to do every quest in the zone EXCEPT the VERY LAST one that lets you get on the boat to go to darnassus. that one is a silver exclamation point. the quest before that where you take the glaive throwers and kill dudes in the field next to the boat is also undoable at lvl 10, and i was only able to do it because i was grouped with someone else and i was getting credit for their kills. so i tried to swim back out the way i got out the first time, and the first invisible wall that you swim around by the lighthouse is longer at that point, and you can't reach the shore. i swam around for awhile trying to get the chatbox to say that i left gilneas, but had no luck. someone else should experiment and see if they can maybe get back out in an earlier phase besides the very last one? worth a shot.



ps - i just got another lvl 1 out and got all the racials as soon as i res'd in westfall. so it's still working after the little patch we had today.



edit - the video i am referring to is the one bon posted, it's really the best one.



edit 2 - i almost got screwed out of a full set of BOAs, also. in the last phase, there are no mailboxes anywhere, and it wouldn't let me delete the character as long as it had BOAs on it. so i could either open a ticket or delete the BOAs before deleting the toon. i tried my luck with a ticket and a GM just mailed copies of the entire set to my main (they lost their enchants) and deleted the toon for me lol. i did *not* mention to him that i got out and turned off my xp, just said that i wanted to save the BOAs but delete the toon.

i did this as level 5 druid. the glaive throwers scale with your stats, and i didnt had any help. you cant take the old route out of gilneas after a few quests because of phasing, but after you arrive in stormglen (when you get your worgen form) you can be summoned out.
 
really? i was able to get in the glaive throwers, but none of their abilities worked. hmm i didn't know you could be summoned out at any point...interesting.
 
[Darkflight] increased speed by 40% for 10 sec

[Flayer] Increased skinning and you skin faster

[Viciousness] 1% crit and hit chance

[Two Forms] two forms
 
oh and dont delete HS for it send Dark Runes to your worgen and die with it then you still can hs back later with XP lock

you can be summoned out as soon as you get your worgen form, at lvl 5
