anyone else play? I recently met someone who plays and I had no idea this game was still going on strong.



I used to play back in 95-96 when I was in H.S. and thought I'd buy some cards and get back in to it.



Was wondering if anyone else played so they could share their opinions and suggestions when I have a question.

I played from 95-96 and had a green/red deck (firecracker deck) with kird apes. loved those guys.

This brings back back a lot of memories.



Back in the day, I was a DCI certified level 1 Judge.



I remember selling my cards for $3500 to a Navy scrub who just got his reenlistment bonus so I could buy a computer to play Diablo 2.



I miss my deck, it was very close to "THE DECK" played by Brian Weissman. Getting my "Power Nine" took about six months alone.



Things sure have changed since then.

No one in my community plays MTG, so I play Legacy on MTGO. It's kinda bogus legacy, tho, since nobody has Force of Will or Wasteland (since they cost like $200+), but everybody has Moat and Tabernacle (since they cost like $4.50). Yeah, prices on MTGO are whack.



Speaking of losers, I used to call it Magic: The Faggering until I got sucked into it myself.

Legacy is way to expensive for me to get into right now, so i mainly play standard. Theres 2 card shops where i live and they host free tournaments mondays and wednesdays. Nice way to hang out with people and practice tourny style magic. If your looking to get back into MTG then i suggest find a local game shop that has a crowd of people that you can get along with.
