All about my rogue

Legend
Thought Id make my introduction to Twink Info with a post all about me and how i do my stuff
<

Ill start off with the Addons im using:

OmniCC- Helps you notice timers on your abilities which are on cooldown

Lose Control - Shows the cc on the character headplate to make it more noticable

Gladius - General to see DR's and Trinket usages

Quartz 3 - Find this a lot more easier to see with incoming spells

Gear:

http://chardev.org/?profile=280777

I think this is the true rogue BIS that is still available,

I have 2 armour sets which I have bound, one with 2x 26 agil ench weps and one with double crux and one with titantium weapon chain.

20 resilience obviously means you have to be skilled in the way of survival, at the current state of 70, rogues pretty much die with or without resi, scaling up to 500+ you can still get one shot by frost mages, as a rogue it is quite hard to get a decent damage output in resilience gear, having best in slot pve gear giving extreme damage causes huge bursts and causing a lot of pressure on enemies which can make out to be a good defence.

I like to use Barrel-Blade Longrifle as it gives a massive ap boost just for normal burst, I have weapon change macros which i will link later.

Spec:

Im pretty much running the standard subtlety spec, the only difference I feel is worth mentioning is I run 0/2 Nightstalker and 1/3 Honor Among Thieves. I dont feel that the 2 points in Nightstalker is worth it as I prefer 2/2 Waylay dueue to me being backstab spec. Im only 1/3 Honor Among Thieves as the 5% crit for me and my partners but getting 3/3 just isnt worth the 2 extra points.

Glyphs:

As per most 70 rogues im using glyph of Shadow Dance, Hemorrhage, Garrote and Blind

Keybinds:

http://imageshack.us.../853/wowyf.jpg/

These are the keybinds im using, obviously keybinds are a personal choice and are just what suits you.

Macros:

I have macroed most of my abilities, most with just a simple /startattack

For my weapon change macro I have added /equip gun for the burst eg.

#showtooltip hemorrhage

/equip Barrel-Blade Longrifle

/startattack

/cast hemorrhage

Simple focus modifier blind macro

General tips and tricks for pvp

I like to use the same opener against mages

Garrote, get the made to pet nova, Vanish, step into ambush then eviserate (+tazik if you are using it)

This can cause some serious pressure on a mage as they will have to blow cooldowns in order to survive.

Doing everything you can to make sure you cloak before they block, even using prep for just another ambush.

A rogue v rogue can be a very fast paced game as one mistake and its pretty much game

With my opener I like to cheap shot, vanish the trinket, re- cheap shot, hemorrhage into rupture (then tazik if you have it)

The most important thing in r v r is to not trinket the blind, wait for the cheap shot to trinket into a gouge or w/e.

With their opener I like to trinket cheap shot into blind, vanish (they wont trinket blind if they are bad) cheapshot, preparation, vanish and re-cheapshot the trinket then do the same burst as in starting with your opener.

A standard opener against a disc priest is sap off shield, Prem into recup, garrote, ambush, shadowstep ambush, kidney once the garrote silence has ended, this will usually force a trinket, you have to be extremely quick here and try get a blind off almost instantly, resap a few times, and open again with a dr'ed garrote into a couple backstabs then evis which should bring you the kill.

As these are the 3 main 70 classes around ill leave it at that.

I will be doing a Assasination pve guide soon.

Any ques, PM me.

Thanks,

curious about your trinket, considering your lack of HP already as well as the lack of resil, what is your reasoning behind using that instead of GLG which would cause you to do more damage for your opener? something like the justice point trinket would be better for the static AP on your opener, or the JC shadow pather trinket/berserker's call if you have them.

edit: also, idk if your chardev is broken, but its showing you with only 3135 AP and 46% crit, which is pretty low, considering your gear. there is a gear set which allows in the upwards of 3.3k AP and 50%~ with around 280~ resil, so i am assuming it must be broke.

editedit: after finding your armory i can see its 4.1k and 59% crit. have you considered trying out Shadowmasters boots + money belt + sunwell shoulders + leggings to maximize your AP? i believe with your gear it would top you out around 4.4k, and i know for a fact that using leggings instead of 4pc will maximize your damage greater than the 4 pc for both hemo and backstab, i have ran parses on both with leggings and without giving out higher top end damage for both hemo and backstab.

Support you on your lack of resil!

I'm a mage, but I play with PvE gear most of the time, regardless of the fact resilience is #1 stat for 70s /facepalm.

I still find myself only critting 3-4k frost bolts with 1.9k+ SP and getting crit 10k by dk's and whatever else that has brutal with green rings or some shit.

How do you do against resil stackers?

@ Apologize,

The chardev doesnt include the 30% extra agility given by the subtlety spec, which is why it seems low.

I have shadowmasters boots and money belt, but the 4 set slayers overall is giving a higher damage output when your not relying on dance to get a kill.

I like using the sonic booster as im a big fan of procs, 430 ap proccing in your burst is game changing.

I like to try keep up my hp, just if im going full out ap and sitting around 11k hp, there is just no chance for survival.

@ Zir well most classes are resilience stacking ie priests/shamans/dks etc.

Having the large increase of ap with the pve gear can counter-act the high resilience, you just have to rely on skill for survival instead of being able to tank damage

Not the best enchant on boots and gems missing on necklace.

cats swiftness is the most benefitial dueue to having the minor speed increase and just a little bit of ap, the only other enchant with speed increase is Tuskarr's Vitality which gives 15 stamina.

So in conclusion, 6 agility>15 stamina

Sorted out the missing gems on the neck

oh and i was on joking about kronix beeing bad, but spas is just sad cause he always trys to keel me in bgs but i just one hit him

If you shiv you wouldn't need waylay, useless talents for 70 unless your opening like a moron.

Using a gun instead of thrown, lost interest after there.

For more of a damage output glyph of backstab makes up for the hemo glyph by far - highly depending on the comp I spose.

Using 4 set T6 in your PvP gear is a waste, if your using a full PvE set then better to go with money belt and shadowmaster boots since the AP does more than the 4% damage increase.

Besides if your backstab spec'd with PvE gear then you would die fairly easy in longer games vs players who actually had a clue.

Your not using a DR timer addon either, though many don't use it including me, I still use stopwatch stun/silence macros to watch where I can do a tidy switch.

So to add to the macros:

#showtooltip kidney shot

/cast kidney shot

/sw 18

/sw play

In addition your vs class tactics are pretty bad ; not in detail, using prep nearly every match.

And your RvR guide is insanely bad, if you trinket CS then blind them and vanish,, your down 2 CD's and all they need to do is trinket your next opener and they've grabbed the kill, if not they blind you and secure it.

Your vs disc guide is very simple and obvious you can do it through bubble, probs no point of listing it but instead of shadowstepping for ambush, you should shadowstep before kidney, therefore erasing all chances of them dodging a crucial part of the rotation and still allowing 2 ambushes with the bonus damage.

Other than that, this is a basic guide, make one more in depth, theres plenty of these 5 paragraph threads.
