Just out of curiosity. How many people where able to snag Engineering when you could (Pre-cata)

And this IS a better profession then mining right o.0?

Looking over my level one and weeding out stuff that is uneeded.

you get bombs. and thats about it from Engineering btw
 
if you were lucky enough to be a gnome ... engineering would be so incredibly OP with the Target Dummy

most twinks go skinning/herbalism now ... mining is just 50hp and since you can easily hit 1000 hp with common buffs, that's not a big enough deal to be a game breaker



if you're gonna go against high level mobs solo, engineering is great ... only way you can dmg them basically

against lower levels ... it's 60 dmg (or 30 and a stun) every 2 min ... so it's pretty horrible



but if you've already got it ... and since you'll probably never be able to get it again, the crit from skinning would be a hard sell to drop for ...especially with the way Blizz adds things and MoP coming up ... there might be something that makes it OP
 
I had it to 75, but I was undead. I changed it to 150 skinning, then back to 150 mining, and always had 150 herb. I like them the best

ima pally, and it always seemed fine for me since i got it. i dont care for it but i dont lik ethe part where they gave me an attack. i beat 47s with just melee. the bombs add a nice taste. still get called hacker alot. and beating 47s is now outah my league a bit. idk what to do with it

Before anyone freaks out (like I did just now). If you drop your secondary profession (like mining or skinning)...your screen will lose engineering and show like you have no professions.
