Assasin's blade has been reduced in both damage and level, so doubt you've checked it out plus shadowfang has been reduced in damage and gotten some more agi so still Viable. anyways check it out on wowhead.

hes on my realm, he brought an assassin blade from the AH which has sat there for 3 months then tried reselling it for 35k. i then explained to him theres better dagger froms quest blah blah and i guess he equipped it.
