Help me decide which 84 to make?

I quit, but I am considering a come back. and I want to start fresh and go all the way to 84 this time.



I want to be able to solo some AQ-40 bosses(I could already solo all of AQ 20 and some AQ 40 on my 80 rogue) and maybe some BT bosses/Sunwell trash too. After many years of twinking, I realized that being able to do some solo pve in between queues is very important.



currently deciding between hunter/blood DK/paladin.



which one should I pick?

Let me just tell you that it was a freaking challenge to solo first boss in AQ 40 on my lock with item level 258-60, after that things got easier. Id consider hunter only at level 85, so its a DK or pala.

at 80 you should be able to solo just as easily, if not easier, on say a DK. cuz you'll have a shitload more mastery and other 2ndary stats like avoidance. if you dont want to be 80 id at least look at 81 or 83 to still take advantage of scaling. going 84 really grants nothing special but eats away so many more stats. but yeah

I like how you became the salesman of lvl 81/83 twinking. Every time some poor soul comes her wanting to twink up 84, we see up in the sky! What is it? Is it a plane? Is it a bird? NO! Its Falkor to the rescue!!!

Back on topic, i completely agree, the only thing you get at 84 is more hp. But if you do some napkin math then with 30ish mastery at level 80 your Blood DK will generate insane Death Strike shields, and in turn repaying you the missing HP many many times over!



Edit, i didn't even have to do napkin math. I just respeced to blood on my DK(31.883 mastery - 198% shield) and waked on the dummy few times in my dps gear. I had a 19ish k blood shield. What happens if u put on tank gear? Frak knows, i sure don't have BiS cata tank gear for 80.

i just dont get why people like 84 so much, in almost every case that last lvl hurts your stats so much you'd have to have an insane talent or something to make up for it

but its a free world XD

U know i wish i could be up ther with you selling the idea, but i just can't let myself do that coz i don't have any 81/83 twinks, i only know the schematics. Its rly an unexplored planet, and i am not eager to launch a rocket yet. I feel like its a big gamble coz you could potentially spoil an otherwise perfectly fine lvl 80 charr. No matter how good it looks on the paper when u actually have the prototype anything can happen.

cool cool. level 83 DK it is then. i am planning to give Skyrim a try first, if it is good, i might just never come back to wow after all.

Agree with 83 blood DK. 81 would be able to stack some sick mastery numbers though, and 80 would be able to get good mastery on top of keeping their secondary defensive stats.
