Ret Paladins

Just curious as to what is bis/pre bis for rets. Im thinking it is similar to most warriors but can anybody give me some ideas? Any experience on gearing and opnions are welcome, like what proffs to level along the way and whatnot. Im trying to make a toon for every class -.- My collection atm is at 4. Want my 5th to be a good melee dps

here is a good way to decide if something at 20 will be fun:



1. can it deal with hunters?

2. does it have some way of escaping or healing itself?

3. can it actually kill something on its own?



ret pallies deal with hunters quite well, they can heal themselves, they do enough damage to kill someone on their own, and they can 6 second stun to either escape or kill somebody



like you said, you can basically just copy a warrior armory and be good to go

Check my pally's Armory for BiS, should be in ret or prot gear, only difference between ret and prot are the weapon/shield slots.



I've played ret and I don't feel it's competitive in this bracket due to lack of utility. You get a guaranteed kill once a minute, but other than that You'll find yourself on cool down 60% of the time, running around and hitting things with white damage.

When your stun us on CD you'll only kill bad players as ret, but there are a lot of them around. Half decent players will stay just out of mele range.

well you can run faster than 'normal' or you attack people who are quasi stationary (ie. melee attacking a healer)



if Hunters werent completely broken and sorta take the focus off everyone else people would probably call either Paladin spec @ 20-24 overpowered

Ret is good. Ret is very, VERY good. I don't have trouble with anything but skilled hunters. I do fine, even without eyepatch.

reduced cast time? is it worth sacrificing the stats?

Lol hes talking about the rogue and also pointing out the fact that hes never played a rogue.

Thrown is BiS. I have used it in clutch situations, and it is 100% worth losing 20hp and some attack power.
