lvl +35 enchants.

Hello guys, i have a question, ive now seen some players have lvl +35 enchants on gear that requires less than lvl 35 to use.

Example: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/frostmane/Leriius/simple - Bracers require lvl 34, but have lvl +35 enchant on it.



How is it possible?

If the item level of your weapon is 35, sure.

At one point the item in question was high enough ilvl to take the enchant. Then a patch comes along and lowers the ilvl, but the enchant is left alone. Future enchants would have to be of the right ilvl.

No, those wrists are not grandfathered. They are eligible for BC gear due to being ilevel 35+.

chants never went off req lvl, they have alwways been based on item lvl.



some enchants have a built in required lvl to use, i.e chest chants and any arcanums and librams.



if an item is chanted with a +35 chant and the item lvl is lower than 35 then the item itself has changed in game since it was enchanted..

BC enchants were based off of required level, not item level, until relatively recently.

From my understanding, those enchants are voided if the current ilvl is not matched. Is this correct?
