Twinking + Mists of Panderan Discussion Topic!

Mute

OG
Well, basically i'd like to know everyones opionions on 2 things.

1 The positive sides of Mists

2.The Negative sides!

So, do you guys think Twinking will still be popular as ever, in the new xpac?

Might want to keep it here.

Cause the discussion is not on the 70's section, but in general
<
and it's easier for people to keep track.

Not really, sifting through that thread for relevant 70s info is a pain in the ass. Each bracket is different, and the things that have to do with twinking @ 70 in MoP won't have anything to do with twinking at other brackets.

For instance, the item squish (if it happens) will affect 70s while leaving everything ~60 unaffected. It will reduce the overall HP pools and stats of all players @ 70. In turn the scaling of abilities, enchants, gear, and gems will be lowered too.

It will also affect the effectiveness of cata tinkers for level 70s - they won't be nearly as powerful.

Resilience as a base stat will change how resilience is budgeted @ 70 between gear and gems.

The addition of a new class will pose interesting questions about balance.

Talents and abilities themselves will change for everyone, but @ level 70 there will be questions on how viable the new talent system is. Will players level to level 75 to get that talent, thus exiting the bracket? Or will they stay @ 70-74 and sit on the level 60 talent? What abilities do they stand to gain/lose with that choice?

Ect, ect, ect. These are all questions that have to do with the 70 bracket and will have unique answers for the 70 bracket. We shouldn't be mixing that in with the existing thread.

I agree, but in the original post no question was referred to the 70's bracket !

But if it was ment this way than i obviously miss-interpreted it and will be glad to see people's tought's on the new expasion and how this will affect our bracker.

It's a dude, posting a topic about twinking in the new expansion, in the 70s section. I think it's implied.

80 will be more popular as another point in talent tree

Even if so, as said before, it's kinda too early to speculate on a lot of the changes.

I don't think it's ever too early to speculate. We know about their intentions and ideas, speculating is when we talk about those things in a 'what if' manner. It is still too early to discuss things in great detail though.

I can see that, as long as level 80 pvp gear is reduced in price to match more closely to 70 gear. As it is, it costs 16k honor for a full set. That's quite a bit of BGing at level 80 with your XP off.

bg lvl

When the honor cap is 4k, and you can't buy gear until you're high enough level to wear it, that means you're still going to grind out another 12k honor after you hit 80 and turn off XP. It's not like other brackets where you will have all the honor you need + extra by the time you hit the level you are capping XP at.

Could always just run Throne of the tides or Blackrock caverns, pick up some gear from there, Then just carve your way through the 12,000 honor..

And on topic; as baseline ability for specs, ie; Hammer of the righteous are gained after picking a spec, and obtaining the correct level, maybe they'll move some abilities down; Ie; Warlock portal, colossus smash, smoke bomb, Master's call, etc.
