I cant assist you with the " cool skins " but i suggest you check Petopia.

It's the website i usually use when i'm leveling a new hunter.

LOL i have all these except the cats, the boar and the worg.



lately i dunno ive been using Bjarn the white bear and my blizzard bear cub. they just seem to go together.



i also use mazz and the mulgore hatchling.



i like matching pets to companions,



sometimes i use the blue moth pet and companion they match very well, but the moth doesn't have a very satisfying attack sound. makes you feel like its not doing much.. i loved it back when it had its own heal though, they nerfed it. it used to heal itself alot.
 




This is the flaming boar -- I have it on my, oh yes, hunter! I just leveled this toon recently for the sole purpose of having unique pets. Can't get any better than Bacon lol. The tame was very hard to and took a long time but it's still doable.
 
On fire forever. Now I've heard rumor upon entering arena wipes and visual 'buff's' He's a good AFK pet to say the least

Tons of information can be found on the forums over at wow-petopia.com or even wowhead. You'll find some relatively good information there. I'd explain how to do it, but I did this solo. Works best with another player from what I've heard.

Yup, even a f2p account with the quest would work. It's much easier to pull this off with a team as stated above. A broken keyboard and half a bottle of tylenol later I pulled this off (jkjkjk) It was pure RNG so my method is probably one of the least effective ways to pull it off.

Yes.



I use Bjarn and Baby Bliz bear since they match,

For the flaming boar look up kill/revive method or Griffys method on petopia, if you read about the petabandon macro ignore that, dont work anymore.



Think you can still get the purple bear glitch also, I gave up on it after a few hot fixes on the tames.
