There are a few good ways to work toward these achievements besides following and looting, which is the slowest way.
The best way right now since world bosses gold drop has been nerfed is to get elementium lockboxes, these can contain 20-40g, just have your mains and guildies send the picked boxes to your toon to loot.
An additional way is the Adventurer's Satchel, this drops from rares in northrend and contains 15-25g which can be looted by your twink.
Satchel of Exotic Mysteries contains 40-100g but is slightly harder to obtain than lockboxes.
the crates that can be fished up in Tol Barad and other places contain 1g or a little less and can be traded.

The way I did it was through Elementium Lockboxes. Either ones I got myself, or I offered to buy them off people for 100g if locked. This seems a bit daft, but if I offered less like 80g or 90g I got no takers. Soon as I offered in to three figures I got some takers. The green that you get in there can be DE'd and I often get Greater Celestials off them that recoup the money I paid for the box, if you include the gold content.
I do not have an 85 tank, but I do have Shadow Priest. I just do healing when the Satchel opportunities arise as well. They usually contain anything from 30 to 90 odd gold and are Bind On BattleNet.
