Item Squishing in 5.0

Squishing the stats means less health but also means less dmg. This could possibly balance low lvl pvp or it might make it 1000% worse.





example: They lower the health pools of everyone but the dmg barely shrinks. This could completely shit on lower lvl pvp.



or...



example: They lower the health pools of everyone but the dmg goes waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down.





Since rogues are losing their shadowstep ability, they'll be less OP. Tho I am not sure about hunters and paladins. No one can really "know" what to expect. For all we know fire mages are gonna own and warlocks will come back on top again.



All we can do is wait patiently until the Pre-MoP comes out for us to test out the new talent system.
 
1. If they decide to squish stats, it will only be for everything level 60+, as illustrated by the graphs in the thread.



2. Squishing the stats means lowering the ilvls on all gear level 60+, as well as re scaling all boss fight content, mobs, and abilities (players/mobs). Probably enchants and gems too.



3. The stats squish isn't a final decision yet, they don't even know how they want to handle things.



4, Regardless, from looking at the graphs, pre level 60 twinking will go completely unaffected.
