Best flag carrier ?

Hello,

What would be the best flag carrier class/build if you're willing to use every enchant in that specific goal ?

Paladin/Drood ? With full hp enchant ? Shield ? ...

Thanks.

Do you mean flag carrier?

And what do you mean full HP enchant? The only HP enchants in this bracket are +15 HP and +1 Stam.

Druid and Paladin are the best, Holy and Feral/Resto respectively.

I would say resto druid > holy pally. Plainly as a FC there are more helpful jumps that are much easier done with travel.

Also shifting out of conc shot is amazing too.

Lol @ cer not everyone has a bagillion crit like you
<

Id say for transport nothing beats a resto druid, the ability to pop in and out of forms with a fairly decent rejuv and removal of snares/slows? Cant beat that.

Once the flag has been transported and you just need to hold onto it while your O downs the efc a prot FC IMO is the best but should have 1 healer with him.

I dont like FCing as my holy pally cause rogues like to kick me alot but if i let some beefy prot pally FC i can stay out of the general buttfuck melee and keep him alive

resto druid is great if you know the jumps and have assists but die quite quickly if under attack by a few enemys and holy paladin is great if you dont have assists because they are almost indestructable

rogues have there uses with sprint and shadowstep as they can get across from ally base to horde base v quick

mages are also good as they have blink, frost nova and freeze making it v hard for melee to do much damage to them .....

I play a resto druid fc. It's kinda of hard because the lack of amount of armor, you get while you're in cheetah. and the contesent. shifting in and out is a pain. Don't get me wrong i get the caps, after 7 deaths....

From my point of view Paladin Holy is the best flag carrier.

I'm starting to lean that way lol, wish someone frapsed me FCing this weekend, was hilarity. Picture 3 rogues following me while I have 2 rshams and me healing myself, along with pretty much the rest of their team, I might as well have rp walked the flag in

In a PuG

Paladin > Druid > Shaman

Pre-made

Druid > Paladin > Shaman

But in a decent PuG druid is probably the best FC. In most PuGs however I feel that the self heals of a paladin are needed vs all the stealthies and hunters.

Thinking a bit more, I really think the ideal team would be a Resto Druid/Pally combo.

Early stages of the match: Druid to run it across the field, and then hand it off to the Pally so the Druid can run back and help get our flag back.

Late stages of the match: Pally escorts Druid and if (odds are there will be) heavy resistance is foreseen, Pally takes flag and druid heals/CC's.

That's what I've been doing lately anyway...I have a macro that says "/bg need a pally on our roof to hand off the flag". 90% of the time our flag isn't there when I get there so I just pass it to a Pally and head back over to get our flag. Oddly enough Rogues are more like cats than Druids...you really need to herd them to the Alliance base to get a concerted effort to get our flag back.

For some reason only Druids can heard Rogues (at least in my experience).

Talking about combinations, the best trio is Pala Holy + Druid (feral or restoration) + Disci Priest.

One of the neatest combinations I ever had was 3 disc priests, two of who didn't have much for gear, but it didn't matter because there was 3x renew and 3 fears constantly going on.

You nailed it, the ideal situation is 2 FC's, Drood for crossing mid and hpal (or if you are heavy on heals) prot warrior to hold the flag.

My vote - H pally all the way - two instant heals, high armor & stam, loooooooong ass HoJ. Having the ability to use a shield is a huge advan over doodad despite their crazy mobility because everyone has a mount in this bracket.

Anyways - would suggest to all twinks that you have a FC gear set ready even if it's not optimal (class wise).
