As a result of my recent "reps available at lvl10" post, i have been requested to write a guide on how to obtain the Ethereum Prison Keys.



#1 - Get honored with the Consortium, do this by doing quests around the Stormspire and / or mob rep in Mana Tombs etc.



#2 - Pick up the quest "Seek out Ameer" from Protectorate Advisor Rahim in Stormspire.



#3 - Complete "Seek out Ameer" and "A Mission of Mercy" from Commander Ameer in Netherstorm.



#4 - After "A Mission of Mercy" you will be able to loot Ethereum Prison Keys from any ethereals,; there is no need to continue the quest chain, just keep that next quest for ID tags in your quest log.



#5 - Farm... The most efficient way to farm the keys is in Heroic Mana Tombs. The method is as follows: pull all mobs up to each boss, but don't pull bosses. kill and loot. go around bosses. If you leave the bosses then you can reset the instance and all the trash mobs will reset. You will loot anywhere from 3 to 9 keys per run with approx 5 average. Alternatively if you are farming the keys on a main on a diff account from your twink then you can farm keys from the ethereals at Bashir's Landing in Blade's Edge, and the twink can follow and loot Apexis Shards as well to make Charged Crystal Focus.

its been a couple patches since i opened any prisons, at that time at the rate i was getting a minimum of 3K was needed and i intend to max all the reps for my 25 exalted achieve.



could you please link a source for only needing 1K now, as i have way over that already.
 
Thank you so much for the rapid response. I'm going to farm the keys on my main as I am already exalted with every Outlands rep. I assume for Cenarion Circle I will probably need a high level toon to assist with kills. Am I able to do turn-in's on the Encrypted Twilight Texts? It seems the quest has a level requirement based on what wowhead is showing.

yes, most of those quests have been removed anyway, there is currently no use for the suits besides looks. farm cen circle rep on mobs. it goes pretty fast and your twink can be on follow dead as they are hardly worth looting.

I logged in and they were in the mail for some reason and I really didn't have any use at the time. Now to convince someone to help me do this haha.
 
keys pop up in the AH almost every day.



depending on my gold situation i sometimes pick these up. the price varies from 5g up to 100g ea.

often i post one for like 10-15g bid, in order to set a trend on the price for people who have no idea wht to post them at.
 
You should just put a link to Roskmeg's guide from his yt channel instead of your guide. You basically just copy/pasted his video and put it into words w/o giving him any credit.

Nevertheless, good guide. I cherish you guys that are brave enough to farm those keys

just.... LOL. it's not like i plan to sit here for hours upon hours upon hours farming these. I decided to check the AH daily when i do my rounds. Im in the 500 range atm. These are farmed more than I thought. I also posted on my server forums and advertise in trade daily. So it's likely I'll start seeing them on the neutral AH, at a pricey figure, I'm sure. It will be worth it though

I made this guide solely from my own personal knowledge in my own words and not copied from anyone. If someone had previously made a similar post i was not aware of it. I have personally farmed almost 2K keys and have my twink at nearly revered from mobs.



On topic I farmed naga up to 2999/3000 neutral and it locked as i have posted in another thread, and i found on Secclusion's thread the info that the only mob who gives rep from 2999/3000 neutral to 11999/12000 honored is Terrorclaw.



I am currently farming this mob who has a 5-9 minute respawn and am almost done.

Someone complained that there was already some sort of guide like this done in the lvl1 forum.



I never found it. If anyone has previously made this guide that fine, but alot of people are starting to try to farm keys, lets at least keep this bumped up and plz share if you find any better methods for farming keys or getting rep.
