Dual Boxing with opposing factions

    • so i'm in a position where my p2p main is alliance and my f2p is horde. i'm thinking about using my 10-day "try us again"s on my main to farm Outland rep for my f2p. I should be able to tag the mob with my f2p then dps him down with my main right (which is easy when you're grouped with your main, but mine is opposing faction)? something in my memory says they might have changed how tagging works, but can't remember.



    anyone have any insight?



    my other option is to roll a DK and hopefully level him up real quick, but would rather not as i'm pretty casual and don't do anything 'real quick'. it'd probably take me at least two trials to get from 54 to mid-60s where i can farm with him.
     
    I don't think that will work as I believe it's the most damage dealt.. I think this topic came up with people kiting ?? elite mobs to nearby guards.

    i think that was discussion of ability to loot vs. achievement for the kill. i don't think it was about rep (which I'm hoping works the same way as the logic giving the achievement for the kill)..

    Ahh yes you are correct. I would imagine the ownership of the kill (loot) would be the same mechanic (rep) - but I am at work and cannot test the theory. I think the achievement for the HH kill is apples and oranges to this (grouped w/ same faction in special event).



    Either way please post your results!

    will do! planning on testing this weekend.
     
    Should work for rep. One interesting thing is that if a Bloodsail attacks me, and a BB guard kills it without me damaging it, I lose rep with BS, but do not gain with BB.
