This is a great read of a layman interpretation of problems of this nature, and very close to my research in modeling human behavior and decisions in artificial intelligence.

You need a bite to feel big? Here you go: I complain in chat about the number of hunters even though they still lose. I did troll the chat on a weekend once while "drunk" about it, only 1-2 ppl seemed to know it though. Hell, I made a thread titled "Enjoy your bracket huntards." Except for my premades with Çer, maybe 10-15 games, all of my other games are pugs. This gives me a 64% pug win rate playing a horde mage in wsg.

You already know the quality of the individuals in this bracket. I get no enjoyment rolling noobs in a Horde premade, I get no enjoyment rolling noobs in an Alliance premade. The only things worth while in the bgs here is overcoming a geared alliance team with a bunch of random horde, or fighting off 24s as alliance.

I feel sorry for you that you can't understand that ppl value things differently than you. You enjoy rolling noobs ("1.5/10 ppl are bads") thats fine and it works for you. You enjoy grouping with 24s to premade, as if it wasn't already an easy win in a premade vs "bads". Play the game you want to play imo.

And finally,

Someone is still paying your way to even form the group. On horde side the numbers are small enough that you can simul queue and group that way though (this is improved by Yasueh's addon.) More to the point, I have no intention of grouping with you nor anyone that supports/groups with you.

Enjoy your ignorance "C O T U S" and good luck in real life.

no, this is a lie. you complain all the time in the f2p chat, and with good reason i might add. i'm pretty sure that if you actually enjoyed what you were doing, you wouldn't be constantly complaining about it, and now that you have "quit" playing on horde AP it's pretty clear that you didn't

the offer to group with or without 24s is open to anyone else who ever wants to play if they are interested in having fun. we're good, but not nearly good enough to roll every game

and someone edited my post for me, thegamesupply, but i don't have a problem with it, so thanks

I said I complained about the number of hunters, calling this a lie makes no sense. I didn't quit f2p pugging I stopping logging in to Horde AP because of what this community is turning into (and my terrible lag there, but that isn't the point.) The community/reputation is in fact the topic of this thread if you haven't noticed.

Where is that ignore button again

I'm the only current bot. To my knowledge goldendays no longer bots.

why bot your warrior? don't understand?

gear is so easy, seen kahr with less than 500hp dying 20+ times in a BG

for sure, but if you pay for a game like WoW, there are ways to avoid these problems, as people have pointed out above (guilds so you only play with people like you, pvping as a group so you only have to deal with people like you (wait, we have this one too....), matchmaking system so you only go up against people your same skill level, etc)

Perhaps you should re-read the article.

Your 'solution' is at best playing as a gated community sequestered from the rest of the game world (which goes against the idea of a MMO) and at worst - and sadly this is too often the case - playing a virtual 'gang' that picks on those not 'wearing the colors'.

The 'three-man Guild group' joining LFD and picking on the other two players is an all-too well known example of this, and your recent (?) behaviour of premading a bunch of hunters and a 24 healer to farm the graveyard in a PUG environment is another.

Now as far as WoW is concerned: the dumbest part is that while clans have a place in gritty, free-for-all sandbox games as the whole 'Mad Max wasteland, dog-eat-dog' theme is precisely what both players and designers are going for, WoW is a cartoonish, casual themepark game about collecting Pets and other Vanity items aimed at 12+ with blue-shielding and so many spoofs it's almost tiresome. ''Me and my friends (on my own I am too weak) crush sandcastles of the other kids, look how tough I am!'' is hardly something to put on a resume.

You only have fun when you can team up with some (virtual) friends to farm the graveyard and somehow you have trouble understanding that people don't like people that can (by their own admittance) only have fun at the expense of others?

Thanks. I have played (as well as other aspects of the hobby) RPG's and other games since the mid-eighties, and the whole anti-social thing about modern, Internet RPG's has bothered me for a long time, which is why I liked this article. It's both interesting and a tad depressing that the late great Gary Gygax turned out to be correct with this misgivings about computer-gaming, in behaviour the computer-gamer is definitely another beast.

I used to DM public games about 17 years ago.... times have changed.

I'm working on a solution... however, I fear that it would replace one problem for another that may become far worse.

No it doesn't

Bad people is everyone who is mediocre at the game and can't defend themselves.

Good is everyone who pretends it's highschool and polls to be the most popular regardless of positive or negative fame.

Umm ok those definitions can be included as well, in a community there are also the more outgoing ones, the more outspoken ones, the more annoying ones, the attention whores, the genuinely nice people, the people looking out for themselves, the people who looks out for others, I mean I can go on but ill agree with you on that, but you seem to be missing the point... Maybe its just because you want to pick apart anything i post on these forums, but hey at least I know someone is reading what I post.

no, sorry, making things up doesn't work when it's in writing

if you're going to troll you need to at least phrase things so they are ambiguous

I've helped plenty of people in this community with AGM, running stocks on my 85, making groups etc.

Goldendays isn't the only botter who's helped this community.

I think what you just said was an oxymoron.

It's also a piss-poor excuse.

Does a criminal get a shorter sentence because he does a lot of work for charity? No. The punishment fits the crime, not the criminal.

I'm making additions to the addon so that this community can have a code of conduct, and enforce it. Consider that from this point on there will be zero tolerance for either botting or graveyard farming in BGs, and that if reputable sources are reporting players doing those things, they will have their access to the chat channel ended, along with all the addon features that rely on it.

When you call upon Gary G you'd better have incense burning and offerings laid out sucka.

Haha - you're old like I am.

I think its funny the people in these forums only respond to threads that have been posted to cause drama. The thread about AGM went on for 9 pages. This ones at 3. Yet the ones where people actually need help, 1 person helps and the rest talk about problems in the community.

Sometimes I think you guys just bitch just to hear yourself bitch.

Bitching about the levels of bitchiness just adds to the bitch-factor.
