Setups for a protection paladin.

Hello everyone. Lately i've been gathering some protection gear for my paladin. I've tried it out in bgs and it feels really good and strong. Only downside is no snare. Anywho. Now i'm wondering what combos would be best to run as protection in 2s and also 3s. I've been looking around a bit on the forum on old threads but they're all very old and alot may have changed since then, i don't know (New to twinkin) So now i ask you gentlemen for advice.

It's not much, but over the past weekend I've gotten to 1800 rating with a resto shaman. Glyph for AS daze as well as +30% increased damage. I also have the SotR and Judgement glyphs as well (+10% damage to both).

[font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]- 15 stam and minor speed increase to boots could help you stay on your target more often, although many times I get ranged as well[/font]

[font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]- You shouldn’t need the intel shield, at least I never did, comps I have ran to 2.2k were with a resto sham and a disc priest.[/font]

[font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]- I don't see why you would need the 35 spell pen to cloak[/font]

Cheers for some good answers. I am waiting to loot a decent pve shield, hopefully the one from Sunwell along with the boots for Expertise (which i found awesome btw) I thought 35 spellpen on cloak would be a good idea as some classes (mage) Have reistance from Mage armor, Because they do have that armor right, at 70 ?

And alot of our attacks are considered as spells, like avangers Shield. Correct me if i'm wrong please.

I was always under the impression you didn’t need spell pen because there is no holy resistance

I didn't think of that, so you might be right. Can anyone confirm? Also. Which combo did you find strongest between priest/shaman?

The shield with the Titanium Plating and the speed increase to boots are new to me, never thought of adding those. The disarm reduction will definitely come in handy against rogues.

I would have to say priest but thats when he is not lagging, If they are equal players I would take the priest

You only want to get spell pen to cloak and a spell pen gem if you get tazik. (as a pally POV)

Cheers for the reply zzarq. Anyway back to the main point of this topic. Which setups are the strongest ones for a prot paladin in 2s and 3s. Please explain also why a certain is stronger than another.

Main thing I like more about the priest is really fears(and MCs if the circumstances permit it), a priest who is ontop of his/her fears can really win games, resto shams lack the hex at this level and there interupt is soon to be nerfed. And if properly set up the priests offense can be a decent help. I have really only gotten threes to around 1900 given i have only played like 40 games in this bracket. Trying to do a double healer set up, restosham/disc/prot, it will prolly go shitty heh. I will be sure to let you know the results.
