f2p hunter crit cap?

basicly I've had a feeling that 22% crit is to much, it feels like my damage isnt what it should be.

I'm starting to think about just going with some hit rating, loom bow + rogue top, also going to ditch my crity boots for stand issue prison boots..

also i've noticed careful aim's 30% crit chance doesn't stack with crit when i use MM is that right? :\

oh, and achievement whore 85's GTFO gurubashi, it's getting annoying.

Let's see, how wrong can you be? Firstly, are you missing? If you aren't, and at 5%, and being ally, you shouldn't be missing 20s. Let's assume not. Get Recount, it tells you if you're missing or not. Secondly, MM talent increases crit, but only for targets over 90% HP. By the time you stand there noobing it up for the better part of 3 seconds, someone else has probably attacked them down to below 90%. Even if they are at 90% or more, your crit chance on one ability is just over 50%. 4 crit or 4 agility will make next to no difference. Also, farm Gnomer, get a scope. Find the agility recipe. Stop emote spamming.

I believe we have found a solution

The boa bow is crap really compare to the one in BFD. Same thing with the daggers the ones in stock are better than the boas.

The only thing good to get boa wise for hunters is the chest and shoulders for crit anything else imo is a waste of time getting.

/cuts Negrews ears and eats em.

also for more crit lvl skinning to 75 it gives +3 crit.

kim why u dodging my post? have nothing to say about that?

Was that thread removed? I don't see it. If it wasn't, it certainly should have been. Personal attacks have no place on TI, and sure as fuck not in this thread. You know how stupid and poorly used "U MAD, BRO?" is? Well, in this case it applies, you are mad. Get over it. Spawn killing is part of the game. Don't like it? Suck less or just leave the game. It really is that simple.

i'm personally trying to get staff of jordan staff or whatever. 11 stam, 7 hit, and 7 resil i think. and i HIGHLY doubt it but the spell power might effect explosive shot
<
hunters do enough damage so i think this would be better than the 2 stock daggers, this is my opinion though

it's a vanity item for transmog, thought i'd buy it now, and play with it, it looks sweet <3

also logged out fishing for that turtle.... and made a spam-free ability tab..

I'm sorta cringing at seeing my guide mentioned here, since I'm such a big survivaility>damage guy. I'm actually thinking of rearranging the BiS lists and chardevs there to be more in line with the general population's expectations, which would demote Kris below Wicked. Anyway, wicked vs. Scarlet Kris isn't a question of better or worse, it's a question of damage vs effective health. And at 2k-3k honor a pop, it's the very last "upgrade" anyone should consider.

I think grand staff is a pretty good place to pick up pvp hit, since it has so much total stats. From dual daggers, you're trading -6 agi -8 crit for +5 stam +7 resil +7 hit. You'd have to weigh agility twice as valuable as stam/resil to make that a bad trade. Compare that to the chest BoAs, where you're trading out crit for hit in even quantities, while losing the mail armor bonus. The shoulders I could definitely see for someone who needs less 4 hit rather than 7 towards a cap, and/or emphasizes damage stats as slightly above survivability, since they trade some sta for agi in addition to crit for hit.

The only other reason I'd go for the leather BoAs would be for PvE purposes, since grand staff trades away a lot of damage for "wasted" health. I'd definitely wear wicked/wicked into a SM raid over a grand staff I already owned. Extreme soloing probably still needs the hit to connect with Concussive, though.

As far as the bows, the Heartpiercer in BFD is superior to the BoA bow without question. The slower speed on the blue means an ~5 extra damage on every single steady/arcane. It would take something in the ballpark of 6-10 extra attack power to make up for that and the 0.1 lower dps.

OH really alright, I'll make sure to GY farm every game I join, and make sure those around me do so too.

The point was I don't support whiney little bitch personal attack threads and posts, but as long as you keep my original quote, I'm happy for you to use it as your signature.

Guess it would be polite to respond to OP too, while I'm here:

Your crit definitely does stack with Careful Aim, if you think you're missing it you're probably just shooting things that are under 90%. 10% is only like 120 damage--maybe less for us hordies--so you could be dropping people under careful aim range with an autoshot or a scatter crit. Humans are pretty bad at estimating percentages visually or through numbers, I'd recommend changing your UI settings to display percentages if this is a problem for you.

I can't see your gear because you're logged in fishing gear, like you said. But if you're stacking crit at the expense of hit and agi then your total damage is going down, period. Some people stack crit anyway for "burst" purposes, and I guess this makes some semblance of sense for marks especially, but the spreadsheet junkie in me just recoils at the notion of stacking crit. If your damage feels low, undo whatever nontraditional gear choices you've made recently.

The other thing I'd maybe suggest if you're just rolling marks for the lolcrits is to grab a wolf for the crit buff and go full glass cannon mode, switching out all your survivability for damage.

Edit: also, the crit chance is calculated when Aimed Shot finishes its cast, not when you start it, so any damage during that time could be dropping your targets under 90% too.

actually, i think it might have just been the mobs i was using aimed shot on, for example level 30+ zombie trolls outside gurubashi(finally have maxed aid now), might be the whole 10+ level thing that was messing with the crit. also yes i do enjoy the "lolcrits" just for the lol factor, it is quite amusing.

meh time to get around to installing addons finally.

2x wicked dagger is the best combo for hunters at 20 hands down, because you get hit capped from eyepatch + ring

i don't know what to tell you if you're a horde hunter, because i don't know why someone would roll a level 20 horde hunter

also, my hunter is sitting at 41% crit right now from ony buff. i GY camped a couple games last night with it. hooooooooly shit, that was some serious carnage. might fraps some more.
