Realm suggestion and battlegroup

  • Debating whether to make my toon on AP or my normal server, also did blizzard limit f2p all to the same battlegroup? I haven't noticed to much f2p on my normal server just wondering if ill be facing f2p twinks still

You will see f2p twinks. Not sure if they will be from AP, but you will see them.

Nah, you can f2p anywhere. It's just that AP has a large and active f2p population so there's a lot of congregation there.

Battlegroups no longer matter, other than EU and US. Groups try to put server/BG/region together first, but all US F2P are in the same group.

    you AFK out too much.

Roll on AP, you'll enjoy it alot more then being all alone on your main server.

Off topic, but AP isn't in my time zone. I like my server. I know people on my server, and latency is a huge issue for me. AP is not that great for me on that level. I'm also not that into AP community. I prefer to play my own way, and yes, that does include leaving a lot of games. I don't want to feel obliged to stay in a game I'm not enjoying, or doesn't suit my current goals, out of obligation to the people I was grouping with. I'm also not a huge fan of the politics (bitchfest) that comes with community. Nor the loot competition that sharing a server that is packed, on both factions, with people that want the same things I do.

AP is big here on TI, but is only a small part of F2P, and not one I have any intention of being a part of. If that means I meet more than my share of moronic randoms, then so be it.

Says the guy with 400 posts... Don't like it? Leave. ...and bitchfest? Pot...meet kettle.

Don't confuse TI with AP, they are entirely seperate entities. I joined TI to share F2P information, which isn't really that easy on official forums as F2P, since Blizz have gimped us. I suppose I could have just lurked, but I've also had questions I wanted answered, or to contribute myself, and the only way to do that was to join. It also gives me something WoW related to do while I wait for queues to pop.

Your little kneejerk reaction there is exactly the kind of thing, and you are exactly the kind of person, that makes me feel I have made the right decision by not being part of the AP community. Infact, I intended to keep my ingame character and TI account seperate, but comments I made about specific games made people guess who I was playing, so little point denying it really.

I didn't start this. Kahr suggested I would prefer to roll on AP. I stated the reasons why it wouldn't suit me. AP fanboys raged, proving my point about the bitchfest really. I seem to recall your being a big part of that recently., Preeztess.

I have no problem with people joining AP. It's just not the only option out there, and certainly not one that appeals to me.

AP is the largest F2P community and has many helpful members, including myself. I am always willing to run a new character through a dungeon or start groups for anybody. People are very friendly in the AP F2P chat and answer any and all questions. If you're a new member, I would strongly suggest Aerie Peak.

Kale, I was suggesting AP to the OP, the last thing I want is you on AP. The game suites you my ass. You have a macro to afk yourself if you happen to drop to 200 HP. Twice last night I watched you run away from your teammates at LM as they tried to cap just so you didn't die.

I told the team to chase your ass down, so we did, guess who afked at 258hp?

On topic, AP really is the place to be, sure AGM is a rough go, but AGM doesn't make a player good.

Thanks for all the input, think im going to roll a human mage on my normal server so i can farm with my mains help, will most likely roll another toon on AP but at a later date, going to check out deadvulcano's spec, any other mage suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Pardon me for interjecting, but I don't find hyperbole to be useful in these sorts of discussions. A single person, whom I have not heard of (and that's saying something (no offense, Karazelle)) made a one-line comment to you, and that is "fanboys raging"?

I agree that in your post, you were only stating your own reasons for not coming to our server. And that's fine, that's a choice. but if you're going to besmirch us, at least do it within the bounds of that which actually happened.

    Sounds familliar.

No offense, but some of the drama at AP and hence Fora I don't get.

Somewhat related: anybody else have the same experience that as far as end-game toons at the Guru are concerned, the 'achiehunters' are predominantly Alliance or Blood Elf? I noticed it before on my old homerealm but it seems to apply not just to my current farming Realm but also to the realms my irl friends farmed them.

My suggestion would be to choose a server that is populated with players that do not go after the Arena Grand Master trinket. If you're looking for social interaction, either gather some friends online/offline or join Aerie Peak.
