Removing People from the F2PTwink Community

  • This is a long post. TLDR at the end.

To me, this community is all about helping each other and working together to make this F2P world more enjoyable. Honestly, if not for the people in the F2PTwink channel, I doubt I would even play. I know others have the same feelings, as though we are in a guild together.

That being said, I have had numerous run ins with Realtalk. This hunter, in every situation I have had the unfortunate chance of sharing with him/her, has been an ass.

On one occasion, Realtalk asked for an invite to our group to help someone in our community get AGM. S/He then refused the invites, and when that person went to get the chest Realtalk attacked them and ran, attacked and ran, trying to prevent them from getting it. Realtalk then claimed that it was probably Slimshadylol that was on his/her account and apologized. I believed him at this point, because Realtalk then actually offered to help get AGM for someone.

However, today at the chest, Realtalk was there. Then Slimshadylol logged in, and they talked in /say about helping each other. Realtalk then asked me if I would help them, that Slimshadylol was at 8/12 tokens. I agreed, as more people with AGM is better for us.

We all go into the arena and kill the few horde that are there. Then I see Realtalk looting the chest, with Slimshadylol auto-running into a wall. I attack Realtalk, then see Slimshadylol auto-running past the chest again /saying "hold the chest for me Real."

Clearly, Realtalk is controlling both toons (poorly). This hunter, who already has one AGM, is trying to "trick" the rest of the community into helping him get his second. I feel that this goes against the entire reason for the community. I'm not saying people shouldn't want to get things for themselves, but I am saying we need to work together to get everyone their desired items. There have been those who have gotten 1 AGM have decided to wait until other members of the community got one, often helping them to get it. Without the community, I doubt many people would still be playing.

TL;DR - This is a helpful community. If you don't want to participate, you need to leave (or someone needs to remove you).

Same goes for ganking people @ STV outside the arena while trying to meet the other faction for wargames.

Please no more QQ threads. Nobody cares that you didn't get AGM. Realtalk is a good player and I have enjoyed playing with him. He helps those he wants to help. There's a probably a reason he doesn't care to help you. So what if he's going for AGM on a second character? He got his first months ago, and well you seem rather new to this community.

Realtalk is a dick from what I hear, and that he's a decent player but not an "amazing" hunter.

    This is just sad though.

I disagree, but that's besides the point. These threads with people whining about AGM need to stop. This thread is entirely useless.

This is not "whining", this is someone being reported for bad behavior and hurting the community. Helps let us avoid these types of players.

    This.

What people do may be perfectly 'legal' and not breaking any 'rules', but as a community, we all need to work together and if someone is being malicious or snarky to another F2P, they deserve to be heard.

Thank you Thirk. I used to have a poor opinion of you but have seen that I was wrong to think so.

Lofi, I don't care if I get AGM or not. I have been grouped with people plenty of times where I am the one to suggest /rolling to see who gets it. Even if i know that person is much newer to the community than I am, and that i could easily kill in the arena. Its not about getting AGM, its about enjoying the gameplay with a proper community.

Even what Mialo said about ganking opposing faction members. I know he came to alliance side to see if anyone wanted to arena. Everyone in the chat knew they were meeting at Guru to do wargames, so people knew they would be flagged. Camping there waiting to kill them is just poor behavior.

No where in my post did I say anything about losing AGM, so please don't try to act like I did.

Anyone going for AGM is going to find out who is helping them and who isn't. Generally people you play with before will help you, and those who don't know you won't really care to help. I see this just as raging over a ninja'd chest. Sure this sounds as a dick move, but it's not even possible to "remove people from the F2PTwink community". Threads of this nature really provide no value. If you don't like the game, then you should quit, don't think you can force others out by raging about them on the forums. Just complain in f2ptwink channel. No reason to open a whole thread .

The "TL;DR" should read: "Realtalk ninja'd a chest and I'm so pissed I came here to rage about it."

Again you try to put words in my mouth.

Realtalk didn't even get the chest, Loco did. This isn't about the trinket, its about community. What part of that do you not understand?

    Harassing or Defamatory

This category includes both clear and masked language, images and/or links to websites containing such language which:
    • Insultingly refer to other members or groups of people
    • Result in ongoing harassment to other members or groups of people
    • Are not immediately obvious to all, involved or not, that it is “banter”
    • Names and shames another player, regardless of Twink Info membership
    • Impersonates another member of the site or well known figure

If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she will:
    • Be given an appropriate number of infraction points or a temporary/extended ban from the forums, depending upon severity

Harassment takes many forms, and is not necessarily limited to the type of language used, but the intent. Repeatedly targeting a specific member with harassment can lead to more severe action. The idea behind this is to prevent any one member from consistently being uncomfortable on the site.
