does anyone know current BiS for mages that are actually obtainable that are not from invasion etc ?

My mage is missing some invasion parts, but they're now unavailable. Am going to hunt for the 2 Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza trinkets once the event comes back. Not sure if it's wearing dungeon gear atm.

Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, having BiS really does not make a significant difference any more in instanced PvP. One could get an equal or better buff from merely using http://www.wowhead.com/spell=185704/lemon-herb-filet.

The quick start guide in my sig should be useful. Basically you want a wand/offhand combo, and use the highest ilvl of the proper armor type (no cosmetic items like mist piercing goggles).

Using all cloth gets you a 5% int bonus. A wand will be ~6% additional stats for your stay template. Increasing ilvl will only get you a few extra stats (0.1% for each equipped average ilvl above 24).
