This is Round Two of the Big Poll

First thing I need to note is that Consideration of Guides has been Removed. When you guys are thinking about your choices, please keep in mind that this is meant to cover the organization of discussions only. We can reorganize the Guides in many possible ways, including having them in a different part of the forums like a library. So do not worry about guides that don't apply to you being mixed up with ones that do. That's outside the scope of this poll.

This poll contains the top selections from the previous poll, along with one or two new options that became apparent during the course of the first poll. If you think that I've missed the mark and the best option for the community is still not here, please feel free to add it into the comments. I hope that you will find that every opinion that was expressed in the first thread is, in some way, represented in the options given here.

Noooo not again. This is much clearer now though.

Also a F2P vote should carry more weight... we are the ones that would have to deal with 29s. They have nothing to loose getting a merged forum.

Also, I'd encourage you guys to not do what Blizzard does... ask for everyone's opinion all the time. Sometime you have the make a business decision and address what's best for TI. You can't please everyone, it's just not possible.

A long time ago Blizzard didn't care one bit what anyone thought of their process. They were going to release a game they felt was the best it could be in whatever time it took. And it was great. Now they have 12 year olds crying at them constantly and being extremely rude over things they probably do not understand. Which one made a better product?

Ah the finer days of yester years. *shakes fist*

I would be fine with the whole bracket together with seperate sub forums for each: vet, f2p, 21-29

I feel like the bracket is supposed to be together in any forum based website, yet since they have vast differences the sub forums would work :D

Agreed, what is best for the forum may not be the most popular poll

What Twilight zone episode did I wake up in?

Where's the option "Who cares, the users shouldn't decide anyway?"

I agree. It was said that segragating in the first place was a mistake that made pack mentalities worse and i'm guessing, harder to moderate. Segragating further may not be the best thing for the forum despite what the poll may say. I would like to see more unity but will roll with whatever is decided by the powers that be :)

I respectfully disagree with the idea that that what is "best" forum is not an option and/or shouldn't be desided by the users. This is a user forum and what the users think is best should be used (only sometimes though, this is one of those times, most of the time I agree that it should be controlled by an outside party). For this I believe users should deside and if it doesn't go well mods can always change it, lets see how this goes.

P.s. I love you recluse bae <3

I said that. And it is a proven historical fact. There are 1000's of examples.

Except having to read a bunch of f2p threads that don't apply to our interests, you mean.

The signal to noise ratio will be absurd, because admittedly 29s is less active. Finding "our thread" would be what I expect the norm to be.

If it comes to a merge sound the conch and we can assemble elsewhere. I don't plan on sifting through the jetsam every day to find the threads I actually care about.

I was going to vote until I read this. Better wait until my next birthday so I don't feel so bad. :p

From a philosophical perspective, I feel uncomfortable about any merge involving the combination of F2P and P2P.

I kind of said this before, but if you do decide to combine forums, it would be nice to have a little check box that would filter the forums so that you could only see "f2p" "vet", "29s", or "all" related posts. If you could make it possible for the site to remember your preference, that would be really cool. That way, people that don't want to be combined wouldn't have to look at the other posts if they don't want to. And the 29s wouldn't have to go three pages in between posts.

I for one do not wish to have to filter through F2P stuff which i have no interest in, so i agree with this guy. seperate forums pls.

Those "12 year olds" lovingly refered to in post 12, are not just twelve year olds. They are Blizzard's target demographic of 18-29 year olds. Which, I presume, are the bulk that make up this forum as well. Psychological studies have found that this group is the most vulnerable to social change and also the most willing to implement changes. I can go into more depth to if you like but that would bring on the "trolls". Which is another study in of itself. You may have already been studied and not even know it.

I agree with this. Not sure if you were the person that said this as well before, but have the prefix for 'f2p' 'vet' and 'p2p' before post titles like 'EU' and 'US' would be cool as well. I generally don't even click on F2P and 20-29s anymore, but just use the portal with the latest threads. It would be nice if it was clear on there as well.

The forums are fine as is - TI leadership ought not to kowtow to the variety of crybabies who made this an issue in the first place.

I spoke to a GM about veteran accounts last weekend, and he told me that 'veteran' is just a name people have given this type of account due to the datamining which went on before 6.1. It is simply a starter account with head/cloak/leg looms, a guild tag and enchants...

IMO rename F2P forum to Starter Account forum (for anything vet/f2p), and leave 20-29 forum the way it is (P2P)
