EU+US Am I the only 101 Unholy Dk?

So I took the time to get out of class armor yesterday. I've had a lot of people ask me why I don't just run a mixed set and this is why. With my mixed gear I sit at an 843ilvl because I just got the 835s with sockets. My dps with the same cds and rotation I pulled 170k vs a geared 101. My ilvl of 823 in my full plate set with the 800 blues and shitty bracers/shoulders pulled 270k dps. A significant difference with the same cds and a lower ilvl. My character is UH obviously so the mixed gear benefit isn't anything more than a 200k hp buff and a -100k dps loss. Whereas a tank would benefit from mixed gear as well as shamans where the 5% bonus from full mail is outweighed by the agi on the leather pieces, and boomies where the int outweighs the 5% from cloth mixes.

Yeah, from what I see the plate classes (other than Holy Pally) get gimped twinks compared to the others. Losing the 5% is not a big deal when it is offset by the stats on the higher ilvl armor (like on my hunter where the Agi on the chest piece alone makes up for the 5% and then some), but losing the 5% AND the main stat really hurts your DPS. I can maybe see it being useful for specific purposes like having a super-leech set that makes you basically invulnerable so long as you are doing O.K. damage, but for the most part plate classes are better off sticking to plate gear. The real winner is elemental Shammy who can get int gear of 3 different types, but no one seems to want to try that one. I am about to make my first Shammy ever, but I think I am going enhance. I have almost all the gear already, and it's going to be probably sitting over 30% leech which when I couple it with an AoE build should allow me to pull like a blood DK while hitting like a shadow priest. Should be fun.
