AGM Being Grandfathered

So i've been told by multiple people that in the next coming patch, AGM or the Defending Champion heirloom trinket will become grandfathered. Is this true?
Hopefully not because Cowten doesn't have one ;(

They do love ruining everything before Legion release for no reason, so it could be true.

Could go on PTR and have a look if you really want to know, just go to Gurubashi Arena and check if the Arena Master quest is there after picking up a trinket (if they are still there).

Alas other than Swag it really doesn't matter if it gets GF'd. It'd not BiS for iPvP, it's not BiS for WPvP or PvE anymore (AGM).

It is very much bis for wpvp when cd is up (esp for 1s and 10s) Plus they could always revert the whole "gear being useless in instanced pvp" thing one day, making it a must-have in arenas, since it is reset every match.

I really hope they do not remove it, as they are removing one of the very few unique twink items left in the game. The casuals won't go out of their way to get it, where the more dedicated players will. And that really makes a certain twink distinct from the ones who just quickly roll a new toon with boa gear and easy dungeon gear.

"Hey guys I heard x is going to happen. Is it true?"
Don't make posts like this. Simply ask whoever you heard it from where he heard it from, and then follow the trail back until you a) confirm it to be true or b) find out it's bullshit.
More often than not you'll find that the first guy you heard it from pretty much just made it up with no source whatsoever.

i think they got better things to do.
with inevitable mass zone scaling, everything gonna scale down.
so if anything, trinket still be a thing as long as actual quest still exists.

The stats on new trinket past potential zone scaling on the other hand may massively differ from current one.

How is it not bis for PvE
Versa is worth more point for point than Stam.

I forgot 1's can get it, and it IS probably still superior to the Versa Trinks on 1's. For 10's the 4 Versa is generally always superior to the 11 Stam. Returning Champion + either Defending Champion or Touch of the Void are mechanically superior to AGM's in every situation. Stamina only benefits you once, Versatility benefits you throughout the fight. However, I can see the point of having Returning + AGM for a big Shield and decent Heal in situations where it works (non-iPvP).

@DeLindsay

In higher/tougher group kills for the person tanking stamina benefits you infinitely if it's what you need to get out of crit-oneshot range, because without it you'd die. Good examples being Fel Reaver and Durnholde.

Also, Returning + AGM is BiS in PvE when there's no CC risk.

In case of wpvp I'd only blow the Shield and swapped it for Returning champion though.

I'm speaking from a F2P perspective, in P2P void trinket would probably have it's uses too.

I can't argue against the CC risk Scenario as that's perfectly valid. Also I can't lie that the AGM Bubble is seriously amazing, once every 15 minutes.

When it comes to Stamina there is a thing called EHP. At super low Levels where even a tiny amount of Versatility gains the Character several % each per point it always exceeds Stamina point for point. The issue here is how much Stamina would one require at a given Level for Stamina to exceed 1 Versa. The problem is there isn't one answer because it's based on the incoming Damage. The higher the Damage the more value Versa has, the lower the Damage the more value Stam has.

The same argument can be made using Stam > Armor/Dodge/Parry/Block. Stamina will always only give you value once, unless you are continually topped off by a Pocket Healer (or self Healing) because once that 11 Stam (AGM) has been chewed through it no longer has any value whatsoever.
