Was thinking about starting everyone out on base level 3 with a few customized items for the classes based on rolls.

Pretty much 3-4 (5 including DM's character since I'm going to pretty much be that idiot how is literally triple your level and help regardless of alignment, class or caring. Something isn't right about the DM's character though...
