XP on/off Players in same bracket?

Been away from wow since right after WoD, but I recently saw a few comments on how the on/off separate brackets are done for. Is that so? Would it be worth coming back to just twink?

Yeah they merged in legion. And most people wish it never did. Depends on what you want from your twinking experience. The stat templates mean it's not like it was before they seperated in the first place, where you could gear yourself to be op af, you can only be minorly more powerful, and have to make up the rest with a level of play that is far better than the average leveling bracket BG player, group queues and the right class and spec choices.

Tbh I prefer the merge. Q's go faster and the more games I can get in the better.
