I just got the plans for them, and I'm likely to make a pair for my transmog set, but I'm wondering why wowhead states it to have such a high sell price? That's half gold-cap for fuck sakes. Is a material grandfathered?

No grandfathered mats, just a super rare swp drop and a cool golden goggle mog is all I can assume why. Most people put swp patterns extremely high for no reason.

That pattern is like 40-70k lol. I guess I'll just keep mine and learn it. Maybe make an extra goggle to sell and see what it goes for...

Theres a few swp patterns that have always sold for a premium.. in the past it was bc the piece was worthwhile to use (khorium choker, gloves of immortal dusk iirc?). At this point the value of gold is all fucked so I'm never surprised at what things are "worth" according to wowhead/tsm

US median price is 55k but there are none currently listed. They share model with much cheaper eng goggles so I doubt they ever sell. Pattern is expensive just because it is rare and completionists will want it

I can't even sell them (pattern) for 8k on Moonglade - EU. I have most of the Sunwell BoE patterns for sale, and even at 8-10K, they're not selling.
