what opens up with Midnight release?

Hello Everyone,

returning to wow after sitting out TWW expansion. I'm starting a new account F2P Purely and I found this place and I love all the information here and what everyone does and helps with.

My question was mainly with what is coming out with Midnight? Do we have access to TWW content at all or is it still gated? I know with chromie time we have access to all old expansion and stuff like that (Minus Cataclysm zones from my understanding?)

I wont be jumping right into everything right away just going to take it slow and enjoy it. My first goal is to complete all quests I can for each expansion. Basically roll a dice and see what one comes up first be it BC, Vanilla Zones, SL etc.

Mainly trying to figure out what to add to my to do lists since Midnight is releasing soon or already has for some.

Thanks in advance, and thank you for the community you've all built here looking forward to joining in on some of it.

I think you'll find out at the same time as some of us! Even if there's nothing new that opens up with Midnight, there's a lot of content to go through.

The only thing to do right at the moment though is to probably do the event that's going on in the Twilight Highlands. Will be some quick gear (not that great) and some pets/housing stuff if you want to collect those things.

I think the big addition for F2Ps is Lorewalking. Still going through these threads myself to see what's possible.

Not sure if it has been mentioned but with lorewalking you can now scale down Cata zones all the way to 10. Still can't quest in them but you can farm cloth and skins quickly now.

Twilight Highlands Event was pre-release only, so currently with Midnight - F2P sees partial changes with the Midnight expansion patch but the portals to Midnight and to Dornogal are invisible. Unless one is an Earthen, as the Earthen get access to Dornogal portal <= 20.

The TWW hasn't changed yet, maybe in a few weeks of patches that F2P non-Earthen may get to Dornogal initial area and the professions may unlock.

I did take my Veteran account Earthen level 20 to TWW areas and so far the areas are still locked behind being @ level 68 for the professions and the Adventure Mode mobs are still 70 in the pre-Undermine chapters (which before one unlocks TWW adventure mode were leveled to 80). Having a Earthen opens up other opportunities unless Blizzard changes it, as during Lunar Festival you can grab the elders around, you get access to the discount trading post and can gather/use the resonance crystals at the vendors as examples.

Completing lowbie isle sends you straght to the Dragon Isles, no portal to Dorn visible,
& the option to run TWW dungeons is blacked out, insisting that you must advance your level to participate in this activity.

Getting this feeling that the World-Soul Saga will be level locked till the trilogy ends.
Hope I'm wrong.

( edit ) - I should add that lowbies can Transmog TWW looks now.
So, there's that.

They might be waiting longer before TWW timewalking is enabled.

When did Dragonflight timewalking appear after TWW release?
I believe the initial Dragonfilght dungeons/follower dungeons were unlocked on starter with the TWW release patch, then DF professions and areas opened more up to lower levels as the patches rolled out.

This was a little different because Blizzard changed the default levelling experience from BFA to DF so it had to be from level 10.

I don't know what the plans are for TWW or what's even open yet but I suspect it won't be level 10+ anytime soon but who knows? SL was made 10+ but it was a complete mess for basically an entire expansion where some random things required much higher levels (eg side quests were randomly 52+).
