How to name change for free!

Step 1. Delete your character you want to name change.

Step 2. Use your F2P account and make a character with the same name.

Step 3. Restore your character.

Step 4. Rename your character.

Step 5. /whisper jabz I love you man


(CD of 15 days FYI/ also deleted toon will need to be reinv to guild)

it didnt work
but it was on the same account
so that may have been an issue

Still works, did on a 60 instantly with 2nd account.
The higher you are the longer the name is reserved. I think at 110 it's 30 days.
Not sure about linked account, but I can grab name of you need help. @Captain

That's what I remember, I'll have to see if I can find the original blue post. It's to cover you so you don't lose a great name too quickly.

it does im sure but tbh i havent tried it..one of the guys said the CD of restoring a character might increase depending on ur charc lvl.. u should just give it a go cause worst comes to worse u can restore ur 110
