Honestly, I want franchises to die. Tell me a story in 2 hours or make it a TV show. Having to wade through 15 movies of bloat just to get a solid trilogies worth of story is exhausting.

MCU will prob be here for another decade or so. But excluding that, I'm hoping for some relatively short but new movie series. And I agree with @Chops for the most part. But part of me still gets excited when looking towards a sequel to something that hooks me into its world.

lol I like movies more than shows. Most shows, imo, drag on in the middle of seasons and lose my attention. I think the last 2 tv series I finished was Chernobyl and Breaking Bad

I appreciate a good trilogy, for sure.

But I told a friend years ago that all movie franchises should be limited to a trilogy and all TV shows should be limited to 6 seasons and I stand by that.

In terms of hopes, dunno. Haven't really thought about it. There's a lot of good stuff out there, but a lot of it seems like it would be near impossible to do a live action adoptation of, or at least not feasible in terms of expense.
