Was given SL. Fresh acct attached to my original Non-SL. To-do list?

Hey, all. I just re-read these threads in the 50s forum:

I wasn’t YET planning to twink 50s, but this was a surprise gift. Now that I’m going to have access to SL, I’ll sort through those threads in more detail.

However, this just-created acct is ‘trial’, not yet a paid sub. My ONLY question right now: Is there something I need to do beFORE making that new acct a paid sub?

I have a vague idea about this transferring thing, and that it’s a potential controversy.

Also, I have a second active account, non-SL, not attached to the first…which may present a different set of options.

All you need is a Shadowlands account and you're good to go.

Bring a character to level 50, turn off the experience and grind honor with the factions of Shadowland.
.
Then, approx. 2 1/2 to 3 months later you will have the highest honor everywhere and then bring your still Level 50 Char to a new BfA-only account. Then you turn on experience again and can play BGs if they work.

It would be wise to advertise them yourself with the second account, then there are a few benefits from Blizzard. That's all.
Now you can crush the Shadowlands account or not, then you pay for both accounts.
