Twilight Ascension: Midnight pre-patch event

Started today. Ends March 2 on Midnight launch. Some quests are marked minimum level 10 in spite of taking place on Twilight Highlands cataclysm zone

Apparently it drops catch-up gear comparable to Manaforge Omega raid (on normal). I wonder how that scales at lvl 20? Also unique collectibles

Created this thread to discuss this event with regards to F2P

Edit: It's quite strange. On wowhead quests are marked lvl 10, but purchasable gear is lvl 80. I need to log in to check it out myself

dropping this here, did the opener first quest and got this outa the bag that dropped off the citizens in the beginning before you port to twilight area. The bag was purple before i opened it. Also, just got a blue bag and it opened ilvl 23 blue gear.
 
One of the rares dropped an item the same ilvl as the stuff you get from dungeons, and unlocked a new appearance. Can't be disenchanted.

Hello there,
Where is the "starting quest" that sends you to the Twilight Highlands? Where is the vendor to buy the stuff with the event currency?

Starting guy is in stormwind under/near the bridge on the side of old town as you cross. IDK about horde side. Vendors are right in the 1st area when you take the portal after completing the couple quests.

At which spot is this starting guy? I can find no one. Do I have to be in a specific Cromie time? I also checked the spot in the Twillight Highlands, but without the quest it is completely empty.

looks like daily it drops a purple, blue and green bag.
 
no idea. i do know that the satchels will drop for a group if there are several 20s...might be a quick way to gear someone in ilvl 26 stuff
 
Midnight prepatch event as of now is not to be a leveling or gearing catch up like that of previous expac events.

i took a 70 druid, did the intro, the 4 dailies and a full sweep of rares 3 times, XP from flying around twilight highlanfs, along with a SW fish/cook daily and hit 76. imo it is really bad. i asked about XP and only getting 2 tokens per rare in chat, severla players said not a leveling event and 2 sometimes 3 is all you get

my gear from TWW prepatch is ilvl 84/85, at 76 gear i am getting from drops is ilvl 79 vendor also shows 79 right now

at half into 76 i decided to do a TW dung, it showed like 91K XP reward, i hit 77 prior to last boss, killing last boss i went all the way to 80

there was a 80 who got a blue at ilvl 102, i got a satchel with a ilvl 79 epic, probably because i was at 77 right as it was awarded

i wanted a 80 to do TWW campaign so my low levels will have access and scaling like what occurred in DF

Is anyone else finding that this event is bugged?

If I’ve missed something or there is a workaround for this all advice gratefully received.

I have three high level alts which I use for farming when I have game time. I’ve levelled them up to 80 over the weekend & have enough game time left to get some gear from this event for easier farming down the line. I’m subbed but have not bought an expansion since WOTLK, so don’t have access to Midnight.

I’ve taken these three alts (and a couple of my 20s) all through The Cult Within up to & including Cult It Out which I know because amongst various methods of checking (e.g. On Wowhead “See if you've already completed this by typing: /run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(90768)) ) I have the Title: Definitely Not a Cultist on them all.

(One weird thing is I have no Twilight's Blade Tabard from this quest on any alt.)

The problem is that on all of them I can now see crowds of people at the Twilight Ascension mustering area including Materialist Ophinell & Armorer Kalinovan except for one. Dürian

On this one I can see no people, players or NPCs at the Twilight Ascension mustering area, other than Magister Umbric. He offers me no quests – obviously as I’ve done them all.

The annoying thing is that I can see I have completed:
I have showing on my currency tab 21 Twilights Blade Insignia (even though it says above I’ve won 27*). So I have definitely started doing some of this content on this alt, but now it’s all inaccessible.

* Similar discrepancies on all my alts that have being doing these events.

I’ve raised a ticket, but been fobbed off with “Customer Support does not provide game hints or restore items, currencies, or progress lost due to bugs.” Which I don’t think this is.

I logged in this morning to find in general chat that someone else on an 80 was having a similar issue in at the Twilight Ascension mustering area. Another helpful player tried various solutions involving being in a group with them, which worked when we switched on one option – no idea what it was now as I never group up & didn’t write it down – which involved grouping up then toggling something in the Quest Log. During this I even bagged a Boss & had a Level 121 item drop. Once we disbanded the group though, the NPCs all disappeared again – as did about a hundred other players.

If I fly out of Twilight Highlands then some boss markers appear, but they disappear as I fly towards them.

A World Quest appeared just now just next to Grim Batol involving solving four puzzles - Wildhammer and Free. I solved it, got some rewards, flew back to the Magister Umbric who was now surrounded by players & NPCs so I thought it was all back to normal until… they all just faded away. Aaaaargh!

Does anyone have any suggestions please? I’m really confused.
 
My best guess is that it might be server based. If you have alts on different servers you can give those a shot.
