Trial account level cap being raised?

Someone in game told me that the trial level cap is going up to 80 next expansion, but I can’t find anything to support this. Is this legit?

This has been bandied around for years now, but... Probably not.
Would be interesting tho?
Even if this were the case, I still feel like we'd be locked out of Raids without a sub.
Besides... we're already basically on par with a Level 80 circa Legion/BFA, what with Guild Wars Flying,
having every xPac's zones & instances open to us ( max-level zones withheld, obv ) so... what would the point in that be?

about as legit as anyone saying shit on the internet.

they have no reason to do this and plenty of reasons not to. Theyve also not given any indication that they plan on making the changes necessary to do this. What this person likely heard is that all content below level 80 will be available without buying midnight and just thought "oh everything below 80 is free!"

Far more likely to see another level crunch after 2 more expansions than a raising of F2P level cap

I would resub if Blizzard would make the F2Ps x9 of a bracket. If F2Ps were capped at 29 for example, the advantages of a subscription would just be some RHIP QOL perks instead of turning you into a murder god. Any bracket would do, 29, 39, 49, 79, it would all be good. It would make subbing not feel like cheating.
