You can get azerite gear at 39? I thought the HoA quest and gears you couldn't get until 40?

Pretty sure they are talking about BiS gear for a lvl 60 scaling down for timewalking mate.

Azerites are king, but not the same ones you probably used in bfa. Most TW twinks aim for what provides the most haste procs. Blood rite and meticulous scheming are performing really well right now. They’ll run 3 pieces, unless they have the MoP meta gem… then they’ll run an engi helm with the meta socketed.
- HoA for neck.
- For capes MoP legendary > bfa legendary rank 12+.
- Some classes (fury for example) will use a SL legendary for wrists. If not a legendary, use SoO or ToT socket.
- Legion legendary 3 socket pieces can be used for hands, waist or feet. If not, the remaining armor comes from SoO and ToT as well.
- Legs are typically SoO 3 sockets.
- ring 1 is WOD legendary or epic version.
- ring 2 is legion legendary, melandru’s, or ICC rep ring.
- trinket 1 is almost always dragonspine trophy.
- trinket 2 is typically tiny abomination or decanters.
Weapons change between classes, but you’ll either chase sockets or procs. Like SCA, blackout truncheon from Cata chromie time (ilvl 50), jackhammer, untamed blade, val’anyr, dragonwrath, shadowmourne, etc.
