The Warcraft Movie
The Warcraft movie will sweep into theaters June 10 in North America, and we’re excited to share details on some of the major Warcraft movie promotions occurring around the world—including a very special World of Warcraft in-game gift in celebration of the film’s release. Through August 1, players who log in to World of Warcraft will receive a set of movie-inspired transmogrification items (Alliance – Horde).
For those attending the movie, many theaters around the world are holding additional promotions. Here’s just some of what’s going on at local theaters.
Get the Soundtrack
The Warcraft movie soundtrack is now available for pre-order. Take this legendary score by Grammy-nominated composer Ramin Djawadi with you wherever you go.

Midsummer Fire Festival June 21 - July 5
Across Azeroth and Outland, brilliant bonfires have been lit to rekindle peoples’ spirits and ward off ancient evils. Each year, new guardians are chosen to watch over the sacred flames and ensure that they are never extinguished.
Called "flamekeepers," these chosen few request the aid of brave adventurers to traverse the land and journey into the dark recesses of Azeroth's dungeons. It is rumored that any heroes who are willing to brave the terrors placed before them will be rewarded for their efforts through the power of the flames.
This is the only time of the year to obtain the Frigid Frostling and Spirit of Summer pets. The fire festival is one of the most PvP-heavy events in the land, so strap into your gladiator gear and get ready to desecrate or defend the Midsummer bonfires from your enemies!
Did You Know?
Ten years ago, on June 20, 2006, Patch 1.11 brought Naxxramas to World of Warcraft.
Floating above the Plaguelands, the necropolis known as Naxxramas serves as the seat of one of the Lich King's most powerful officers, the dreaded lich Kel'Thuzad. Horrors of the past and new terrors yet to be unleashed are gathering inside the necropolis as the Lich King's servants prepare their assault. The Scourge marches again…

You can keep up-to-date on all of the in-game events through the calendar on the World of Warcraft website here (log in and select Events from the drop-down menu under your character name), or simply view the in-game calendar for exact event start times for your realm.
Darkmoon Faire: June 5 – 12
Come one, come all, step up for a fun-filled week of activities that will keep you coming back for more! Participate in the games to earn special prizes! Everybody's a winner at the Darkmoon Faire! During the first week of each month, convenient Darkmoon Faire outposts with Darkmoon Portals will appear in Elwynn Forest and Mulgore, offering free rides to Darkmoon Island and the Faire.
Bonus Events:
Timewalking Dungeon Event: Northrend – June 1-7
While this event is active, players level 81 or higher may access a special Timewalking Dungeon Finder queue, which scales players and their items down to revisit past dungeons from the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. While Timewalking, bosses will yield loot appropriate for a player's natural level.
Apexis Crystal Bonus Event — June 8-14
While this event is active, Apexis Crystal gains are multiplied. Get yourself to Tanaan Jungle and cash in on the Apexis Windfall.
Arena Skirmishes Bonus Event — June 15-21
While this event is active, Arena Skirmishes will award Honor at triple the usual rate. Will you answer the call to battle?
Timewalking Dungeon Event: Burning Crusade — June 22-28
While this event is active, players level 71 or higher may access a special Timewalking Dungeon Finder queue, which scales players and their items down to revisit past dungeons from The Burning Crusade expansion. While Timewalking, bosses will yield loot appropriate for a player's natural level.
