Yeah it still takes all the spec points to get the Harpoon and all the enhancements (as it did before), because now you also have to get Tip of the Spear.

Aspect of the Eagle was a lvl 51 Surv talent before this update, now it can be chosen by 15. Sounds kind of strong, too!

Dude pala tree looks so cool.
Prot tree fun too, didn't even look at ret pala yet. Arcane mage is interesting too. Pretty sure i have to play all classes in DF just because how fun the trees are.

I noticed that what Prot Paladins currently have in SL as their three talent choices are now all talent points they can have AT THE SAME TIME. As someone looking to play a not-hunter character in DF PvE, Prot Paladin is now on top of my list of choices. I don't know how the damage is on a geared prot paladin, but all the potential damage reductions in DF are incredible looking.

Yes prot pally talents are insane. Having both blessed hammer AND holy shield at the same time is bonkers. As for prot paladin damage, well my highest damaging ability is judgement at roughly 30%. With crusader procs judgement can crit over 1 k. Currently prots only have 1 charge of judgement. The new talents allow for 2 charges AND a bonus charge on grand crusader procs. That's a pretty massive dps increase. All of these things can be gotten at the same time with 5 points.

Now for the biggest question (we needs chops to test!), does retribution aura (available at lvl 12) proc avenging wrath and seraphim like it says it does. The actual on use abilitiy, avenging wrath, requires 9 points and lvl 26. That would be nutty if it works.

Holy pally looks like its gonna be so fun with cleanse, BOF, etc. Lot's of room for personal preference/playstyle stuff too! I'm kinda hype for this

Holy shield stays, the hype for DF continues.

No, but I dont see it mattering much tbh. It still brings the speed for those crusader procs.

Fire sucks ass, big dissappointment. Literally need to spend every talent from spec tree to get all the base skills and thus losing any choice

It has a good class tree at least :D ...

... but yeah, disappointing spec tree. I'm not sure what it would need to pop off at 20. Probably Combustion.

Still, will be pretty decent in the right hands.

Literally just having 2x fire blast would do enough for it to be playable. Right now it's spamming fireball in hopes for proc and then using blast+pyro. Everyone dies until you can do the combo, sad because this spec is so fun when actually playable

Was looking forward to playing a lot of fire mage next xpac. But with the current options it will be painful.

You lose phoenix flames and then on top of that you basically need to spend all your talent points to get a worse kit than currently available on fire mage.

For instance firestarter + fireblast crit combo is impossible because you need to spend 4 points to even get critical effect on fireblast... Not fun at all in terms of choices and flexibility.

At least you have more base talents that will make for better gameplay in terms of defensives. But hoping they will change it up a little.

    Paladin looking great tho

I noticed a few prior classes also had a few recent minor changes to their talent tree (among more to come in time).

    Example:
-Enh can directly access flurry talent now without needing to spend talent on something else first.
-Sub rogue can access relentless strike talent without needing to invest a talent point in a AoE, and provides another route to access Shadow Dance.
-MM 20 hunters can unlock chimera shot, even if the skill says one needs to be lvl 34 to use it.
-Among a few other possible examples of minor changes.

This is such a great change. Assa before seemed like having only one choice path, now there is some place to figure different builds

Enhance could get Flurry with only a 1pt investment before - they had both chain lightning and maelstrom weapon (row 2) unlocked for free before.

paladin is the new plate wearing druid, with blessing of freedom and three 5-second steed per minute.

hammer of wrath will separate those that can only healbot from those that have battlefield awareness.

if the bracket isn't bursty in DF, freezing band may be BiS for hpal because the freeze effect compounds with how much they can move around.

maybe depends what we get for free. To early to tell as the tree is a mess, I can see us spending every talent point just to get what we have atm.
