EU+US SV hunter - few questions.

I've been wanting to give this bracket a try and if at all viable, I'd like to play as a survival hunter. But in the process of gearing up, I would like some pointers. First off, the obvious one. How viable are they in this bracket? I'm aware of most gear, but would you suggest going 2h or DW? I'd guess it boils down to wraith scythes or Sul'thraze, right? Is it worth it to stack a certain secondary stat? Was thinking haste but I'm open to any suggestions.

First off, there are no simple answers for Surv under level 78. Here's a fun answer though:

Survival is all about pretending. You can pretend to be a warrior, a rogue, an anime protagonist or the flash. The harder you pretend, the better the build will work.

The surv hunter kit is so strong, all you need to add is gear and pretty much anything they are capable of can work.
