Suggestion for MM hunter weapon

Have been checking different weapons on my hunter since it has sub time at the moment, the difference between each seems fairly small. I would expect PCB to come in around 940ish aimed shot damage, so a decent amount above everything else in raw damage at the cost of 10 stam and secondaries. Not sure how much it would vary depending on how other hunters are geared

Would you have a chance to test (or extrapolate based on your gathered data) how an ilvl 27 Guttbuster would stack up? It has higher dps and agi compared to an ilvl 27 Needle Threader.

Was able to test a Thorium Rifle which has the same damage range as Guttbuster, it ended up the exact same as Hand of Argus Crossfire. The extra 5 agi on Guttbuster should push it up to about 211 for arcane shot and 920 for aimed shot

Does anyone know how this weapon compares to the Dragon Slayer's Shortbow?

Now that our artifacts are obsolete, have any hunters dialed into what weapons form the 'better' part of the scale, if any? I'm guessing BfA dungeon, if they can proc secondary and socket, but it doesn't seem to do so from wowhead.

Also, have any hunters tested and confirmed that the proc from https://www.wowhead.com/item=9412/galganns-fireblaster?bonus=6710 (Galgann's Fireblaster-Chance on Hit fire damage) works? The comments on wowhead are years old, and I know Venomstrike has been broken since forever ago.

Update: Got it on the 5th kill. It still works. 2PPM. Can crit. Works in PvP for around the same amount as it hits in dungeon.

This, is far superior.
Unless the Dragon Slayer's Shortbow pops Epic, as I've seen 1 person with once.
Still, 2 gem slots are better than none.

with 3 agi socket? With 9 agi and 8 mastery it makes somehow up to boomstick with 12 agi?
I think it gives a good amount of dmg compared to dragon slayers shortbow, i still can't decide which one i wanna use. Or if i should try getting something else (NO wait i don't wanna farm scope enchant again).

Its a hunter, you can wear anything...

1. 2 socket heirloom
2. Boomstick(27-8) if MM and going for max dmg as glasscannon
3. BFA rare or green BoE with mastery and vers or crit as MM
4. Shortbow for BM all the time

Your Hunter is looking good
Crit is great for BM.
It’s a good weapon, though u miss some Stam, however probably not going to be needed as u won’t have people standing long enough to fight back

Costing a mere 74 copper from the vendor and dealing roughly 15-20% less damage than a top-end bow on a decently geared hunter, this may just be the best value 'bang for your buck' choice when it comes to ranged weapons

a bg loot crate would probably be the most bang for your buck, that said it doesnt matter.
