EU+US So with new changes to gems and that 110 or 111

I have a 270 druid got the gems and enchants but, with the gems going to 50 now at 111 and the enchants are a lot stronger at 111, is it worth converting my 110 to 111 now?

I can't speak to 110 performance, but my 111 resto druid can kill 90% of 120s in wpvp right now. The only ones that I can't kill are healers and self-heal tanks. I'm not talking freshly dinged 120s either, I'm talking people with 270-300k hp (which makes them heroic+ geared in current content).

Combine with engineering for travel form leap + parachute cloak, thorns which everyone ignores and hit like a truck, you can burst or escape just about anyone.

For the record, that's a resto druid with feral affinity+master shapeshifter

You're looking for 1 item with Ysera's Dream (4s cd on your passive ticking selfheal), then fill the rest with dps traits (any, really) and last ring look for impassive visage and/or resounding protection (basically selfheal or absorb).

Socket and enchant versatility (after your 1x 120 and 1x 80 int gems), and for weapon enchant I use Siphoning.

Buy or craft https://www.wowhead.com/item=168314/biltong (it's cheap to make) and have it on all the time. Buy or craft https://www.wowhead.com/item=20008/living-action-potion for a free Human racial stun break in potion form. Try for 2-piece Antorus tier set for https://www.wowhead.com/spell=251813/item-druid-t21-restoration-2p-bonus (synergy with your mastery), and prioritise versa >> crit/haste if possible (sockets trump everything, though).

https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/eu/runetotem/tavore is my druid, still a work in progress since I am missing some sockets in my gear. Do try for the war supply chest/secret supply chest trinkets that I have, since they are miles better than anything else you can get from antorus or rares/quests, despite the low ilvl.

EDIT: I realise you can't see my 2nd leggo on the armory. https://www.wowhead.com/item=132452/sephuzs-secret is amazing as both a burst and an escape tool, and https://www.wowhead.com/item=137040/chatoyant-signet for that sweet 200 energy allowing you to already be hitting a 5-point rip or FB as people are exiting Rake stun.

Sorry, I don't record gameplay. Might look into it one day, but not for now.

Mind you, a good player can kill you, of course. The thing is, everyone sees you as a 111 with <60k hp and underestimates you (why I think everyone ignores my thorns). By the time they realise what's up they're already 50% hp or less and dying while I'm still at max hp. Add whatever weird scaling Blizzard does that makes you do more damage to 120s than usual (and they doing less to you) and it's easy to see why you are very very strong in wpvp.

As a druid with feral affinity you are also very fast. Not speed twink warrior fast, but I'm talking ~160-170% in cat form and ~170-180% in travel form (in combar), with bursts of 230%+ with sephuz proc. You can dot someone up with rake/rip/moonfire/sunfire, go toe-to-toe with barkskin + thorns, then root/vortex/stun and kite while HoTting yourself up. Not even DHs or WW monks can catch you if you know what you're doing.

What I find hardest is stun + that mechagon burst trinket (the red punchcard one you buy at revered). It can eat through most of your HP in one cast, and is super annoying. I tend to save my Bash stun to be able to interrupt it, or if I see it being cast I just tree form and spam Regrowth. Ret palas also take forever to kill, since you generally have to kill them 3 times (bubble, BoP, LoH), but are doable since they're very kitable.

For bonus points, when I go on a Legion Invasion wpvp trip (killing 120s who gank levelers), I use Keeper Remulos as a bodyguard. His ability can literally take 50%+ of a 120's HP if they stand in the fire (which they very often do) - and it's hilarious how they drop from full to 0 in 20 seconds after you open on them.

I found a 270k HP rogue this morning (~425 ilvl). Here's a showcase of the burst you can do as a resto:

Admittedly he didn't put up much of a fight, but all he could have done is blind (I'd trinket), kidney shot (I'd living action potion) and evasion (I'd kite/root and reapply magic dots). Unless they are really good, rogues are free kills even if they open up on you.

Hopefully this gives you an idea of the damage you can put out vs 120s as a decently geared 111 resto. Note how his HP melts when he comes out of the stun and attacks into my Thorns while fully dotted.

edit: uploaded an uncompressed 60fps version

Thanks!

I love seeing max levels go all wtf when they get rolled by someone so far below them...

Don't we all. Here's one more from this morning for you, I didn't realise video recording on a mac is built in and basically a keyboard shortcut away. This time a ret pala, ~300k HP (~435 ilvl, which is above current heroic raid ilvl). He dismounts me so no stealth opener. Vol'dun is amazing for WPvP due to the 200 extra versatility you get from a zone buff there.

I guess this showcases how easy it is to kite melees if you want to.
