Hi i was just wondering if this is BiS for a level 80 Frost mage (For PvP)

chardev 10 - Mist of Pandaria - BETA

71% Resil, and another 16% dmg reduction from molten armor, (+ ice barrier) would i survive a global sitting from a rogue?

and would i do enough effective damage to still 100-0 someone?

Edit: Xipe, I noticed your close to 90% tell me some things does ur health even drop?

My holy paladin runs with 86% resilience in PvP (or used to), and I still get blown up faster than I've ever seen. 80s is a case of be a priest/shaman if you're healing, otherwise die in the first few attacks.

That set is fine, but given that the 80s bracket is how it is you might consider the alchemy trinket, or another resilience trinket. If you're 1v1ing a rogue, you'll just have to hope ice barrier and health is enough. I've no idea how rogues are this exp, but last exp I was playing amongst the highest in the bracket as hpaladin/rogue. Mages aren't as good as they used to be,

I'am not smart :(?

That set is fairly BiS. But, wtf, Signet of the Scorned? Drop that dude.

The things about mages are, they can easily beat a rogue, they can, but the thing is that you have to really practise and be skilled at playing your mage. You have to work at timing, timing is crucial for an 80 mage. I know a lvl 80 mage who downs 90's 1v1 who are fully geared. Not by burst, but by skill. Also, this may sound strange, but a trinket isn't really nessasary as a mage. You can blink most stuns or just block the burst. You can outplay rogue's fairly easily as a mage, if you're skilled. Also, you don't need to wonder if you can outlast the burst, just blink the stun or block the burst, you shouldn't sit through the burst. You have dozens of spells to evade the burst. Additionally, imo, fire > frost any day of the week.

im talking about in arena the rogue would play with a disc, who would MD my bubble, (and i would be garroted) which i can't blink, rogues can get my block in open then after it pop cds & cloak

and to add to that a good rogue would counter a good mage, and if i was fire, would i just global with my 0.5 pyros (from herb)

My (very badly geared) frost mage, can kill healers in a nova if i time my frostbomb, damage really isn't a problem with the 409s, my mage doesn't even have tailoring and i still global people so, it may sound a bit weird but LW is actually a good choice for PvP, my paladin is at 69k hp in ret with 71% resil. I think that's pretty solid, you'll still have the burst from herb and you'll have that bit extra of needed survivability.

noo but guys, 2v2, mage/disc vs rogue/disc (rogue opens with subtefudge) full garrote.. so i can't blink, (my healer would probably be sapped or something) after hes subter.. he`d dance & cloak, id block (or die b4 i get the chance) the other priest MD's my block unless i CS b4 blocking, and im exposed like a nerf,

(btw i have no *Swear word here* experience of 80 twinking) all i know is, i watched a 80 240P youtube video of a rogue who clicked keyboard turned doing 2400 MMR 2s, and killing BIS mages,

(this is where i get the impression from)

if all the clips were scrub gingers, who dont know how to stack defensive then R0FL i`ll have a rogue in a nova mate

That ring is actually BiS for mages in PvE. 303 haste + 153 hit is worth a massive amount more than the int on a 277/308, since the SP on the weapons is so huge. No idea if it pans out for PvP, but it has a huge chunk of stam on it too.

Oh, and you might consider using the silence reduction meta or http://www.wowhead.com/item=30008 if you're dying to Garrote. Definintely worth the loss imo.
