Shaman artifact weapon enchants and alternatives.

Im just getting into ny enchanting. I want to enchant my elemental shaman fist of ra-den with spellpower. I read it drops from the molten core. Obviously on my starter account i can't run in at level 20 . for the first of ra-den what are some alternative weapon enchants i can use? For elemental resto and enhancement specs? My first character im actually putting alot of energy into

There is a Northrend Enchantment you can use called Mighty Spellpower. Easiest way to level up Northrend Enchanting is in your faction's portal room, there should be PVP vendors that sell disenchantable gear near.

Northrend is easier but doesn't the Outland Major Spellpower give more?

Is the best you can get (+11 spellpower for lvl20) - farm this at Bash'ir Landing in blade edge mountains. How to get there? "Die" yourself up, or jump with parachute from gnome from the far eastern side to get to the crystal spine.

Just fyi, Id hate to see you go down the path... elemental is honestly unplayable. You are dooming yourself to games of 50k when others are doing 200k.

The spell/abilities are scaled the worst among any other class/spec in the bracket.

Then your other option is enhancement, which is just average at best.

Please rethink.

You should define "fine"... if it is like I said then sure, play it... its tier3... you will do "fine". The damage is average, the abilities are scaled badly again, just like in BFA, resto does more in every category ... maelstrom generation is a joke... unless you stack mastery and sacrifice intellect.

Other than that... top notch

You will also want the MoP intellect on offhand enchant over the wotlk one since it gives more int.

In Alterac i am often number 1 DD with my ele.
Just stack int and mastery/versatility.

Except for in BFA it had explosive burst damage that was superior to resto's where it mattered (long clashes, made them good target callers and were good for coordinating kills with) and they were a sick tanky frontline that could extend further than resto land kicks that resto could wouldn't be able to, as well as having other utility like off-heals and earthbind.

"Unplayable" is ignorant and incorrect, but what's new with you anyways...

Unplayable obviously did not mean you can't run around and shoot lightning bolts at people.

The damage is not good, so you are relegated to playing support DPS class. The problem with support DPS class is that Shadow Lands does not need support DPS classes. The weapons and the gear let you play maximum end spectrum builds on healing and dps, with no downside. Maybe you could find a place for it in a tuned wargame team... sure.

In BFA it was not that explosive either... Earthshock still did about as much as it did now, unless you got lucky with a crit... in fact... exactly like it is now. You can even stack mastery now to increase your malestrom generation... again... not that great when you compare it to the other dps coming from S tier... or even tier 2.

Yes, "unplayable" was not the right word... "disappointing" is probably more accurate... which anybody will conclude either from the performance in a BG or simply by comparing numbers after a BG.

And as I mentioned above IMO this is even a more ranged meta that BFA was and you also have many more stuns/interrupts/melee distance closing abilities... which further relegate Frost Shock and Earthbind to decent, but not great abilities.

I'm sure somebody pulled 100k out of their ass in a game one time, that does not mean it's up to par.

I mainly meant I don't want the OP to think it will be anything other than he lives until he gets targeted... the he dies almost instantly. LvB and ES should be looked at EXACTLY like playing a Warlock without the chance of doing 3k+... honestly that is where the power level is.

Stack intelligence gems/ or 2/2s in BFA gear. Buy all i28 Mastery gear, or make some High HP build... sometimes the numbers are just not there to support a spec.

Yes, but when you show up to a construction site and everybody has a hammer because it was "put nails into wood day" (shadow lands)... and you take our your screwdriver and proclaim "Lets get it done boys!"... the foreman will escort you back to the "fire'n trailer".

You can indeed play the spec... it is what it is, just be ready for it.

I don't think anybody has really min/maxed the spec yet, because I doubt many people can stand it... crit/haste/verse/mastery? Who knows.

I don't think mastery is the answer because it does not add to damage, it only gives you the chance to do more... and you have to stack it super high at the expense of gem slots to make it worth using at all.

Haste maybe?

Looks like shaman will get some nice buffs in the next patch regardless, other than -10% to lava burst.
I mostly play resto not elemental, but hopefully the buffs to ele can make it more viable for you.
And hey, as long as you enjoy it?
I do find shaman in SL a little clumsy compared to how it was in BFA but it's still a lot of fun imo.
