If you're talking a 2h paladin just don't.As a Ret Pally, should I prioritize agility or strength. For example. Use +3 stam/str or +5stam +4 agi cloak? Enchant for gloves use +7str or +7 agi?

19 Ret Pally is one of my favorite twinks tbh. I would suggest going 3/3 Bear cape and 7 Strength enchant to Gloves. As a Ret Pally, should I prioritize agility or strength. For example. Use +3 stam/str or +5stam +4 agi cloak? Enchant for gloves use +7str or +7 agi?

Ironically, I feel like the best Ret build is sword and board.
I used this build on Northdale and loved it:

There's definitely a right and wrong way to play Ret at 19.
I've seen a ton of 19 Ret Pallies only use Glacial Stone and not spec into Guardian's Favor. These same pallies would get destroyed by Rogues and Hunters and were generally really squishy.
How are you giving advice on a ret build then give all prot talents and a 1h+shield??? That’s a prot pally not ret....

Quick question
i just couldnt resist
how many years have you been playing pally in general and how long have you been playing vanilla pally?
I've tried 2H Ret and 1H Ret on Lightbringer and Northdale respectively and found 1H was objectively better. The Ret talents at 19 are complete garbage compared to 19 Prot talents. How are you giving advice on a ret build then give all prot talents and a 1h+shield??? That’s a prot pally not ret....

1. 5/5 Redoubt gives you a huge boost to damage mitigation against Warriors, Hunters, and Rogues.
2. 2/2 Guardian's Favor allows you to have near 100% uptime on Blessing of Freedom. This is OP for FCing, escorting FCs, and killing Mages, Hunters, and Warriors. When I played Horde and noticed Pallies that didn't run this, they were a joke to control and kill.
3. 3/3 Precision is basically the icing on the cake. You need 5% to be hit capped against players of your own level, so getting over halfway there takes out a lot of unfavorable RNG.
What you can spec into at 19's is so small / limited, to put points into Ret and call yourself a Ret Pally is dumb. Instead their is FC Paladin, OR Heal/Support Paladin. If you take all prot talents why not just call it prot.

In 19's in Classic, the Points you are able to point in are so minimal, That putting points into that specific tree doesn't make you X type of Class. Like for Paladins, there is 2 Types. Flag Carrier Paladin and Support Paladin.
Flag Carrier CARRY's Flag. Support Freedom's main DPS on O PREFERABLY melee like Rogue/Warrior's while tossing heals and doing minimal DMG. While Switching to a 2H to output much damage as possible when needed.
Wasting the Small 10 Points you got at 19's in the Ret Tree for either Max 20% increase melee AP bonus from BoM or reduce mana cost of up to 15% on your Judgement / Seal Spells.
With a Mixture of either 2 Sec decrease on Judgement 1-5% chance of Parry and or 5-10-15% increase in your Melee AP bonus of crusader + Holy DMG on Judgement just to call yourself a ''Retribution'' paladin is retarded.
Lot of times too at 19's you're spreading your Talent Points so most of the time they aren't all in one Specific Tree.
Ok So you agree with my Post? If you read it then you'd see where I say it's dumb to differentiate a Class at 19's by what tree you put your points in.That's perfectly fine, just don't call it ret then lol

OP of thread is just asking a question and maybe not as experience to know the differences so maybe when they are refereeing to Ret Paladin that they possibly meant a DPS/Support Paladin.
[doublepost=1573413846][/doublepost]I don't think crystal is trying to be anything contrary, just easier to say that the best wat to play ret at 19 is to play prot.I feel like the best Ret build is sword and board.
