Picked up D3 again on my pc (vanilla for now, haven't played that much just getting paragon up before upgrading to RoS) and there is no pvp yet, just brawling, nor are the platforms linked in any way and all versions are playable online with a couple of players. Not sure if some of this counts for the Ps or X but I suppose the official D3 site can help out on your questions ;-)
