ok so this nigga was 2.2k+, and purchased the tabard after season 8 was over, because everything costed honor.
does that still happen? when season 15 is over, can a 70 at 2.5k get the tab?
I would assume you would lose your rating after the seasons over. never really played a 90 between seasons, enough to know the answer to that.

not sure if i understand the question but in wotlk 70s got arena points for arena (which they could spend on season 4 gear) so wintrader like this guy could buy the tabard with their points.. in season 9 the tabard was still available through rbg (not sure about arena).
you wont be able to buy the season 15 tabard because im sure they wont sell them for honor after the season ends

edit: not 100%sure but i think in wotlk you kept the rating even though the season ended untill the next one started

are you sure? because i asked that guy about a year ago and he told me after the season ended it costed honor, because arena points were no longer available. you could be right maybe i just dont remember what he said clearly but im pretty sure thats the answer he gave me

But, as far as I know, he earned the tabard via paying honour, and having the appropriate rating, was it 2300 or something like that? Hardly recollect.

It's not obtainable anymore, the item was removed from vendour about a year and half ago.

Exactly. He got the tabard for honor+rating after season 8 ended. For some reason blizzard did not remove the tabard right away.
Also let's not use the word *earned* in that special case.

We tried to get the tabard the legit way but couldn't manage to obtain enough rating due the fact that the queue times were horrendous and the point gain per win was next to nothing.
