The value will greatly vary depending on where the item is located. I've seen them priced from 2000-4000g or so (though if it's on a real crappy realm it'll be less).

Are you on EU or US though? I've got a Halo lying around and would be interested in getting rid of it as i dont play 49 nor do i intend to. 2k gold-4k gold, srsly? Thats a nice sum there i could do with
